Hi All, I am so so excited! Wanted to share it with you all!!
I have got my tickets to atend GROOMWARS 2024!
Heading up to Orewa -Auckland for 3 days of grooming competitions/expo/learning and training and I cant wait!
Please note I'm not competing, but am looking forward to seeing my first grooming comp. I am most excited to be attending seminars with Blake Hernandez, Nathan and Kathleena Austin-some top groomers from the U.S. as well as a full days training with Jade Lewbird on Canine Behavior! Should be a fantastic time and I hope to be able to bring back some new skills and information to further help my clients!

Today's grooming session was incredibly satisfying, with a thorough de-shedding that left my walls looking like they were growing hair! I'm amazed at just how much coat a lab can shed. 😉

Coco is rockin her new winter cut! Mum likes her coat nice and long, but with feet super short to prevent mud getting in the house.

The weather is on the change, Autumn has well and truly set in, and Winter is on the way!
At this time of year many dog owners like to leave coats to grow out so their furry friends will stay warm as it gets colder. If this is your plan, it is really important to keep combing your dogs coat as it grows. The extra length encourages extra knots/matting and requires more attention - the last thing you want is for your groomer to say "it all has to come off" so..

Had Jack back into the salon today for his first free groom! He bought his sister Daisy with him, it was a great opportunity to practice a double groom and help keep her calm.
