Christchurch dog lovers dream job...

Good morning 🌼
We are on the hunt for our next Barkers Park superstar. We have some busy times coming up, so will need extra hands on deck.
This will be a casual role, so the quantity and regularity of shifts will vary.
The ideal applicant will have experience with dogs, as well as customer service as our human customers are just as important as our 4-legged guests. A few other traits we will be looking for are:
🐾 Patience and empathy
🐾 Ability to work both individually and with others
🐾 Physically fit, as it can be demanding at times!
🐾 Be proactive and hard working

Must have own transport, and be available during school holidays and weekends as these are our busiest times.

After becoming "extremely" sick with a parasite never before found in NZ-bred dogs, the animal was put down, and owners are being warned.

Happy International Dog Day from Minnie.

I know she is not a Chihuahua but she has taken over our lives, our house and our bed. She is 11 in a couple of weeks, we inherited her 18 months ago after a close friend lost his battle with cancer. They had lived with us for 18 months so it was a no brainer she stayed with us. LOVE her to bits!

WARNING -Southland/Otago area Lost and found pet alert!!!!

WARNING ❤️ PLEASE SHARE - It has come to our attention and many other Facebook pet pages - there is a person in the Southland area trying to claim found cats and dogs which do not belong to them. This is in all areas, Invercargill, Te Anau, Queenstown and Gore. This person is constantly being called out, so changes profiles regularly. Facebook has been alerted, but will not take action. This person has also tried to claim a pound dog who has a registered owner. If you find an animal, please ensure you are giving it back to the right owner. Please be vigilant, if someone is trying to claim a found animal, they will know certain details. For example, a collar color, microchip details, or distinctive markings. Please private message us for more details ❤️
