Our aim is to provide you with a superb mount, just how you saw it through your scope, on that drizzly day in the hills. We take great pride and feel humbled to be able to mount someone else’s trophy. We guarantee when you leave your head and cape with us, you won’t be disappointed with the end result. Our clean and tidy workshop will make you feel like your trophy is in good care. Jason knows, be

ing a dedicated hunter himself, how important it is to bring the animal back to life, because detail and finishing work makes a mount.

The big game season is here, can’t wait to get amongst it. We’ve already been flat out with heads coming in and a new renovation in the shed underway. Remember watch our video on facebook to learn to cape of an animal. Keep cape cool and get it dropped off or frozen as soon as you can. Basically treat it like meat you’re eating..

Few stags starting to roll in now, some older reds are stripping. All fallow are still in velvet, some very bulby. Same with sika. I’m am cutting off at a certain limit this year. With just me and my wife here we can struggle with the work load so probably won’t take on any late winter reds and fallow but just ring us to see where we are at and we can certainly help out and point you in a direction to find a experienced taxidermist if we can’t take your stag in. We will just take it month by month and see how the season goes. There’s some top taxidermist up in Taupo region and Hamilton and north of there. Sika county taxidermy and wild life art and Bullivant taxidermy, back ridge taxidermy just to name a few. Best of luck and stay safe.

Had a great night showing the Manawatu deer stalkers members how to stain heads and cleaning up skulls etc. A hands on seminar that went for 2 hours. Hopefully everyone took some good advice and learnt something.

Young fellas been sorting out a couple cull animals Ive being seeing lately. The fallow had broken his leg and the red stag wasn’t showing much potential. Plenty meat for friends around the neighborhood 👌

School holidays. Kids busy being kids. Creating scenes, using glue guns, artificial snow, dry moss, glue, stones, rocks and sticks. What ever they could find in the garden. Chewed up a couple hours anyway. Lachie made a bull tahr in the alps and McKenzie made her pet lamb. I made a bull tahr 😉

That time of the year again. Stags doing there thing. Hinds have fawns so always cool to hunt something else. Dave got his 1st ram in the weekend. The hunt was auctioned off at our local school for a fundraiser and was awesome to take Dave and his son for a mission over the coast. Eels had a good feed. Thanks Kevin for donating this hunt on your property.

My closest friend Adam O’Fee. We have shared a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing since our childhood. During school holidays, we would often venture out on our own, exploring creeks and hunting goats all holidays. Now, we are passing on this passion to our children, creating lasting memories and a unique bond.
