Joy is a female staffy cross and approximately 4 months old.

Joy is the sweetest wee girl you could ever lay your eyes on.
Well she is still young and has lots of puppy energy. She loves nothing more than to be right by your side getting all the love and attention she deserves.

Joy is a super smart cookie and has already mastered sit. She has overcome her fear of the pool and water in the space of 5 minutes. She is highly treat motivated so continuing her train should be an absolute breeze for her new furever home.

Oogie Boogie
4-Month-old Rottweiler Cross

Meet Oogie Boogie the happiest little chap ready too hang out and learn new things with his new family.

Oogie Boogie is a snuggly but playful boy. He loves to play with his favourite toys and run around with his big clumpy feet.

He will benefit in home that is willing to continue his training. We would also recommend puppy classes for this boy to help with some manners.

A home with older children is also recommended as although he is only 4 months , he is quite a large boy who isn't quite aware of his size.

We have tested him with Polly, our very bossy pound kitty and he did not care one bit. A home with cats should not be an issue at all for this wee man.

V***n and Dasher
Both 3-Month-old Boxer cross

Introducing our brother and sister duo V***n and Dasher.

Dasher is very people orientated loves to stick close by. We are working on building confidence and learning to play with toys. Prancer is also the BEST snuggle bug.

V***n is more independent, he loves to explore new things. His is also more toy motivated, he LOVES a game of tug of war.

Ruby

Meet little Ruby an energetic yet affectionate young girl ready to take on the world with a new family.

Ruby is toy motivated and enjoys spending her day zooming around with her favourite toys.

Ruby isn’t the brightest cookie in the batch, but what she lacks there she makes up for in snuggles, and funny antics. Ruby will have you and the family in fits of laughter.

Ruby is fantastic with other dogs and was curious yet nervous of our pound cats.

Please be aware that there has been a change in opening hours for the Hamilton Animal Education and Control Centre, with the facility no longer open on Sundays for the foreseeable future.

The centre will be open as usual on Monday to Saturday, 12.30pm-4.30pm.

Introducing Rudy!!
4 Month Old Huntaway cross.

Rudy is a confident young pup, ready to take on the world.

Rudy is one of the smartest wee pups I have ever met, he is picking up on some basic manners VERY quickly.

Rudy if FULL of energy so will need a family ready and willing to put the time in to ensure he has the opportunity to expel his energy every day.

Although we don’t know his breed history and are taking a guess on his breed. Rudy is showing some signs of wanting to herd things. This may mean he may have the potential to learn some stock work.

Rudy is great with other dogs here, although some dogs may find him a tad annoying as he does bark in their face in an attempt to play (or herd). Rudy also met our pound cats during his Christmas photo shoot and was interested in them but just wanted to play.

Holly

Meet Holly she is a 2–3 year old Staffy Cross. Holly is an affectionate girl, who loves to be close to her favourite people at all times.

Holly isn’t a particularly high energy girl but does enjoy a quick zoom around the paddock, and a walk around the compound. Holly is a pleasure to walk on lead, she naturally likes to be close her people so no need to worry about straining your arm on a walk.

Holly has been great with the other dogs here at the centre, although not super interested in playing with the others she is happy to just hangout around the other dogs.
Although Holly is great with the dogs, we have found that she is not super fond of the cats.

Success Story!!

Thank you so much to the Team at Rolly Canine for taking on our gorgeous Ace!
Ace has now found his forever home!!

Our amazing foster boy Ace recently went to his forever home! Ace is now living with another dobermann companion and is in the best home possible.

We are so glad that we were able to give Ace a second chance to live a great life.

A big thank you to everyone who donated and offered their support to help Ace get to us, we couldn't have done it without you

Introducing Isabella!!

Isabella is a 2-year-old Labradoodle (Labrador x Poodle)

Isabella is an active girl looking for an active family to go on family adventures with. Isabella is a smart girl who already knows some basic commands. She is eager to please, so continued training should be a breeze with Isabella.

Poor Isabella came to us very hot and had extremely matted fur, Thankfully Sorrel's Groom Vroom - dog grooming studio came to the rescue and gave her a much-needed groom. Isabella's new family will need to be committed to getting her groomed regularly to prevent her from ever being matted again. She will also need regular brushing in between these grooms.

Isabella is a social butterfly who is great with new people. She quickly became friends with all the other adoption dogs (the young ones are her favourite to play with). We are yet to test her with our pound cats.

Isabella is looking for a home with older dog savvy children, as she loves to share her love with her feet 👣 and sometimes they end up near your face when she attempts to hug you.

Everyone meet cheese!
Cheese is the sweetest little boy you will ever meet.
Cheese is absolutely obsessed with people and loves everyone he meets!
He is very much a people pleaser and loves to cuddle up on your lap.
Cheese came home with one of the staff here for a night and she has said he was the easiest puppy she’s ever had at home. He had no accidents in the home. He also met a younger child and was great with him.
He knows how to sit patiently and wait for his treat. He also walks very politely on a lead.
Cheese is also great with other dogs.

Hayley is a 10 Year old American Staffordshire Terrier Cross

Hayley is looking for her retirement home where she will get to spend her days sunbathing, Hayley LOVES a snuggly blankie as you can see by the photos.

She is great with other dogs although we are ideally looking for a home with another placid dog where she wont be jumped all over as she is an older girl.

Hayley has been given a full clean bill of health from our vets, other than needing lose just a couple of kgs. The vets had no other concerns.
