Unfortunately we were riding together so couldn't get any footage in the ring at this point Rayne was a bit tired and over it and was being a bit sassy for the video 😂.

Putting my jockey skills to use and giving Guess aka Astro pop (now owned by Lilly Mattock) a breeze up on Wednesday to get her ready for her pony scurry on Saturday. Since lilly was at school and unable to make it out. bit slow for a race horse but pretty quick for a pony I thought 😊. Was lucky enough to have the use of Phillips equine track.

Rayne aka PR Pina Colada is going incredible after she had 7 months off while I was pregnant and looking after baby Blayke. She's come a long way from the frightened pony that I brought a year ago. She a very sensitive mare, that had a rough breaking before Debbie got her, this made her mistrusting of people and quite touchy to ride, but when she relaxes and forms a bond with you there's nothing this lil mare won't do. Despite her mistreatment she has the sweetest nature, always trys her best and puts her faith in me. I understand her and know she requires more love, patience and kindness then most horses and know she will give me her heart if I give her mine.
Horses are such remarkable creatures, so forgiving and intelligent, it's a shame so many are often misunderstood. I find it an absolute honour and privilege to be apart of her journey.
Short video showing some of the natural horsemanship I do with her and how she responds.
Phoenix ranch is now offering float training lessons...
I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to work with Jenna Hansens lovely palomino yearling filly Honey after they were unable to load her on the transporter truck the day before she displayed some bad behaviour pushing over her handler and kicking. Honey is a yearling filly who hasn't had a huge amount of handling since Jenna left home and was only recently weaned off her dam Jessie. When I first approached Honey she was quite nervous and when I lead her out of the paddock she had little respect for my personal space and was trying to bite and kick me swishing her tail and quite upset about the whole situation. We set up a tape round pen as there were no facilities available on the premises. I free lunged her in there mostly to gain some respect from her and teach her about some personal space, her demeanor quickly changed and she became quite happy to be around me and no longer trying to kick. Although I did not achieve full join up or follow up she showed enough signs of submission that I was happy with the progress. I did some leading with her in the pen teaching her to go forward and she responded really well. We then got her mum so she could load on the float with her since she didn't have a good experience yesterday even with mum on the float she still wasn't keen to go on but was interested and not backing off or rearing or kicking etc so I was happy to allow her to take her time and sniff the ramp and placed her front feet on. We used some food also to help encourage her as she was quite food orientated and as a reward for her good behaviour. She eventually walked up the ramp nicely we just stood in their for awhile with her and mum and gave her some feed as a reward so it was a nice calm experience for her and so she was happy to wait in the float not tied up. We did this again then next time locked her and mum up in partions, I then loaded her on her own and she walked on and off beautifully. I to
