That’s a good time to Book in for a Seniors Pet Health Check-Up because early detection helps. (But finish the belly rub first please).

Don't let unexpected vet bills ruin your cuddle time! Pet insurance can provide financial protection in case of unexpected accidents or illnesses. Springtime means grass seed season, and for something so tiny, they can cause a lot of big problems for your pet! The issues they can cause range from minor discomfort right through to potentially life-threatening conditions. If you cannot remove a grass seed from your pet’s coat (with your fingers, tweezers or scissors), give us a call to organise removal.
It's important to continue exercising your pet in Winter, as well as keeping them mentally stimulated. Being cooped up inside can encourage destructive and negative behaviours. Walks, runs, catching up with friends and play sessions in the park are perfect ways to keep your pet active. Here are a few tips for you. 👇
Happy International Cat Day! Share below a pic of your cat in his favorite spot in the house 😺 🐈 #InternationalCatDay
Assistance Dog Day is part of the International Assistance Dog Week. The objective is to recognise and value the hard work of assistance dogs. These specially trained dogs provide essential help to so many people in our community. IADW have great resources, to help teach us more about Assistance dogs. #AssistanceDogDay https://www.assistancedogweek.org/
Today is Pet fire safety Day! We've put together some things to think about in order to keep your pet safe from danger. 🚒
Sometimes when a pet is in pain, you may see subtle changes in their behaviour. Any changes in behaviour can be a sign of pain or other health issues and we recommend taking your furry family to see one of our veterinary team.
For our older pets, it is important that they are kept warm and comfortable during the cooler months. If you notice them struggling to move, it could be age-related diseases such as arthritis. If you are wanting more information on ways to keep your pet warm or have a senior pet that you would like to discuss, contact us today.
There is plenty of evidence to support that cuddling your cat is beneficial for your health. Make sure you hug your feline today. If your cat isn't into hugs - perhaps a high 5 or a pat! #HugYourCatDay 😻

Some of you have been a part of our clinic family for years now, and we'd love to know what the best advice our vet team has given you. Comment it below 👇
Has anyone welcomed a new addition to the family? Watch the below video for tips on introducing your pet to new pets. 🐶😺
Keep me safe for the rest of summer by following these tips! Did any of these surprise you?
Did you know our pets can suffer from heatstroke too? If you see them panting or drooling excessively, becoming restless or unstable on their feet, or the gums changing to a bluish-purple or bright red colour, it's important to call us immediately and cool them down on the way to see us. The quickest way to cool them down is by using a fan or placing a damp towel over me. In any situation where you are concerned, please call us.
Sun safety isn't just important for my owners, but me too. If I'm going to be out in the sun, be sure to apply pet-approved sunscreen to areas where my coat is thin such as my nose, belly, groin and ears. If I like wearing a hat, pop that on too. If you have any questions about protecting your pet, speak to us 🐶
