Our aim is to cater for all levels of riders. We also hold a few shows each year where lots of ribbons and cool prizes can be up for grabs. Hope to see you soon!
Pukahu & Hawkes Bay Adult Riding Club was established by a group of likeminded individuals who had a common interest in coming together and enjoying our horses our beautiful district and each other's company. PARC (Pukahu and Hawkes Bay Adult Riding Club) is a fun and friendly riding club that allows any and all levels of riders 21yrs and over to come and enjoy rallies of many kinds. We all get to
gether and encourage each other, whether it be show jumping, eventing, dressage, trekking, training, playing around, hoof ball and anything you can think of. PARC is committee run and we hold our AGM where every member can come and vote, nominate or just have a say. We are always open to suggestions and good ideas – the best part is, if you want to see a rally or event happen, you can organise it yourself so it’s exactly how you imagined. So if you’re in the Hawkes Bay area, whether you’re near or far, we’d love to hear from you and join our ranks. Membership is only $40 per year, and our club grounds are at the Hawkes Bay Equestrian Park in Flaxmere, Hastings. There are heaps of facilities at our disposal, so come check them out.

It's that time of year again! The show season is just around the corner and the RAS - Eastern District are holding two recycled ribbon days with a great range of classes including an adult riding club ring! But the also require some stewards. If you are able to help please contact Chelsea Richards details below:

Times are approx: 8.30am to 12.30pm and 12.30pm to 2.30pm at the Hawkes Bay equestrian park
Without volunteers these show's can't be run.

A great way to have some fun but also improve not only your jumping and flat work but also both yours and your horses fitness is grid work!
You can alter the heights to what you are comfortable with but grid work can be a lot of fun!

We look forward to seeing you at the AGM this Friday. Details have been emailed to you and posted on this page. We need to know if you are attending by this Wednesday please for catering purposes.
There are many important positions that need to be filled on the PARC committee and we encourage you to attend and hopefully put yourself forward for the new season.

Treasurer
There are 4 general committee spots already filled with current members but it would be awesome to see new faces and new ideas to take our club into the future.
The members staying on are a helpful friendly bunch who would support the new members in their roles, whatever they are.
Following AGM business, Denise Rewi will give a talk about NITE to those who may be interested in being on a team.

Must be easy to handle on the ground and have no vices / dirt. Wanted for adult riding club activities, beach / farm hacking, and low level jumping and dressage. Must like people and load easily onto a float. Wonderful home assured with variety of riding, twice-daily care, and regular wellbeing appointments (e.g., chiro, teeth, vet checks, massages). I attended the Northern Hawkes Bay autumn dressage day 2 event today at the Hawkes Bay showgrounds. I was so proud to see club members out competing and smashing goals. Proud of you ladies for trying something new and doing well.
Congratulations ladies on not only having a go but doing amazing too. Look forward to seeing you at the next one.
What a day the sun certainly came out!
We had not only fabulous weather but a fantastic bunch that came to the PARC derby day today. So very proud of you all, for not only having a great time and also challenging yourselves but for also the fantastic support you showed to each other it was amazing. This is what PARC (Pukahu & Hawkes Bay Adult Riding Club) is about and so great to witness everyone celebrating each other successes. Was great to see everyone challenging themselves and sometimes trying something new by even doing a derby day but also jumping a bigger fence. Many thanks for all your help in getting the dressage arena set up this morning but also your prompt pack down of it. Your efforts made the day go quickly and smoothly. Massive thank you to my helpers today Marek P**i, Rach Harper and Alison Plank you amazing efforts are hugely appreciated can't thank you enough.Special thanks to Dave who made the pack down of the jumps a quick seemless event. Big thanks to our fabulous dressage judge Genevieve Quinn for taking time out of your morning to come and judge its very much appreciated.
Thanks to the other committee members for your support but a big thank you to our members who competed you made the day FABULOUS.

Please find attached the draw for the derby day this Sunday at HB Equestrian Park. A reminder that set up is at 8am and you will be required to help with this along with pack down and some jump judging. We will try and run things very promptly so everyone can get home nice and early. Please remember to be kind to yourself and your fellow competitors and above all have a fun day.

Massive thanks to our two superb judges Genevieve Quin and Sharon Goldsworthy, thank you so much for your time. Huge thank you to Trace Able who stepped up to write today when she had to withdraw her horse, your help was truly appreciated. Thank you so very much to Montana Horse Arena for your beautifully presented grounds and arena.
The most enormous thank you to Kay and Sarah Landon-Lane for doing all the scoring today.
And most of all thank you to the PARC (Pukahu & Hawkes Bay Adult Riding Club) members who showed Everyone what being part of PARC is all about. Here we go Everyone the PARC Dressage PARC Dressage Rescheduled! draw for this Sunday at Montana Horse Arena . Weather is looking good and don't forget to change your clocks Saturday night! Committee members Danelle, Rachel, Sarah, and Lucy will be on the grounds any troubles please find one of them.
Prize giving will be at 1:40pm for the presentation of all ribbons and the Champion and Reserve Champions for each level. We even have some prizes that were kindly donated by Forbes and Co Saddlery so please take the time to either thank them in person or send them a message 😊

With the forecast weather the committee has made the hard decision to cancel this weekends Overnight Trek. We will look at an alternative date for just a day trek.
Stay dry, safe and most of all have a wonderful Easter with family and friends
