Huge effort by this extremely consistent son of Per Incanto to take the win in the Rating 65 1340 RACE IMAGES. Fantastic to finally get ‘Minty’ back into the winners circle and thanks to Lily Sutherland again for another great ride.

The Stoney One 🪨
The team is on a roll! Great win by our little warrior ‘Pete’ in the JR & N BERKETT 1100 at Trentham. A consistent performer, he knuckled down today to score, aided by a great ride from Craig Grylls. Congratulations to owners Milan Park Stud & Peter Jeffares on this horses fourth career win, we feel very privileged to have such great owners supporting our stable. 🌟

Anaroa 🦁
Big effort by the son of Time Test to win comfortably in the Rating 65 1300 KURIPUNI SPORTS BAR & TAB. Great to get ‘Leo’ back into the winners circle in front of a packed out Tauherenikau crowd. Thanks to Lily Sutherland for another great ride, and congratulations to his owner/breeder Graeme Wedd on Anaroa’s second win. Lots of trust and patience in a horse Guy & Leah have always had plenty of belief in. A great way to start what we hope will be a year of many winners for you all! 🥂

Bedtime Story 👸
A fantastic run by our stable queen taking out the Cavallo Farm & Chris Rutten Bloodstock Handicap 1400, aided by a brilliant ride from Lily Sutherland. So special to coincide this win with her outriding her claim, an outstanding achievement so early in her apprenticeship. Massive thank you to all our staff for your commitment during this time and congratulations to her happy owners. Always a special time of year for racing over the festive period. 🎄

Merry Christmas to all our Game Lodge Family 🎄
Great to have a staff dinner this week, followed by a few Christmas Eve celebrations with the horses. We look forward to racing over the Christmas period, but also watching our fabulous Sujeeth Kumar race in the Chatham Islands at their 150th carnival!
Exciting times and hope we can bring success for all in the New Year.

Kalledu Thunder ⛈️
An excellent debut for our big fella ‘Leon’ winning first time of asking in the Harcourts Otaki 3yo Maiden 1200, aided by a great ride from Johnathan Riddell. A son of Vadamos, he has come a long way in his first racing prep and looks like an exciting prospect going forward.

Another Te Rapa success for our spunky chestnut boy in the Risk Management Group 1200. Getting to his preferred position in front, he cruised around his favourite track to score easily under Liam Kauri. Special thanks to former employee Sarah Davis for strapping the team - here’s to another great weekend of racing. 🥂

PENNY ROYAL 👸
Awesome run from our 9 year old queen, getting up today on the Awapuni Synthetic in the RJS Roofing Ltd 1400. A great ride by Kavish Chowdhoory and real thrill for owner Mary Darby and the Managh family who bred her. Great to see connections on track to celebrate this wonderful mare - who will be looking to head to stud very soon!

Oscar has recently joined us here at Game Lodge, thanks to his family connection with longtime stable supporters Little Avondale Stud. He has an awesome attitude, great work ethic and always makes sure his parent’s horse Poukawa is getting the most attention! 🙈

Very exciting to see our former black type performer ‘Can I Get An Amen’ foaling down for the first time, rewarding Milan Park Stud with a stunning Dundeel filly. We are sure she will be a star as a broodmare, just as she was on the track. 🤩
