There needs to be a mind shift change in How we think about desexing our dogs.
New research from Dr Michelle Kutzler a veterinary professor, shows the great harm we are doing to their health and wellbeing. In her recent webinar in a presentation to her peers, sponsored by Virbac. Michelle discusses the findings, with references. A brief summary includes, but not limited to, Significantly increased odds of Cancers, some of those being, Lymphoma, Mastocytoma, Haemangiosarcoma, Bone. Hip Dysplasia and Cranial Cruciate Rupture( one study of Golden Retrievers found no cases of CCL in intact dogs and a 5 and 8 % occurrence in Neutered males and females.
Hypothyroidism. Obesity (leading to many other conditions)
Autoimmune Disorders. Aggression, Fear and Anxiety. Urinary Incontinence.
Unknown to many people it is illegal in many European counties to desex their dogs, due to the health risks associated to it. they do NOT have a large unwanted animal problem, they have very responsible owners.
Michelle is trying to get this new information out into the veterinary community and pet owners, so we can stop routinely desexing. Now there is evidence of the Harm, the Maiming needs to stop ( the use of the word Maiming was used in a in interview with Dr LiseHansen, on Rawpetmedics, discussing this topic)
We need to accept our dogs for what they are, and not think we need to remove something from them, to make them clean and behave in a way convenient for us. For one moment imagine what would happen to your children if they were removed of their go**ds?
For me, yes I have some desexed dogs and some not .. but will never neuter another dog without medical need. Now that I know better, I will do better.. Next rant will be on the inappropriate food fed to our Dogs and Cats!

More than 30 veterinary surgeon have signed a letter in the current issue of 'Veterinary Record' drawing attention to the health risks involved with routine neutering of dogs, a procedure that until recently was considered fairly harmless. Now we know better. It turns out that neutering a healthy dog can increase the risk of him or her developing cancer, allergies, thyroid disease, arthritis, ligament disease and a long list of other serious health problems.

Watch Out for Birch Sugar in Foods❗

If you see the ingredient “birch sugar” on a food label, keep it out of your pet’s reach. ❌ This ingredient is the same thing as xylitol, a sugar alcohol sweetener that’s toxic to pets. If consumed, xylitol can lead to a sudden release of insulin, followed by a sharp drop in blood sugar (hypoglycemia), triggering vomiting, loss of consciousness and seizures in dogs (cats appear less sensitive). 🆘🐕

Xylitol may also be referred to as “birch sap” or “wood sugar,” so keep an eye out for these ingredients on labels as well.

Read today’s free pet health blog to learn more about the dangers of xylitol to pets.

WANT TO BOOST YOUR PET’S IMMUNE SYSTEM? THEN FEED MEDICINAL MUSHROOMS!

Mushrooms have been used in traditional medicine for centuries! And not just any ol' mushrooms, but “Medicinal Mushrooms”!

Mushrooms such as reishi, maitake, chaga, turkey tail, lion's mane, cordyceps and shiitake are really worth adding to your pet’s diet, as well as your own, in order to reap the benefits.

So how exactly can mushrooms improve our fur kids’ lives and ours?

Mushrooms contain natural polysaccharides (simple sugars) and the most important polysaccharides for those suffering from cancer are called beta-glucans. According to the Cancer Doctor, Dr. Demian Dressler, “beta-glucans have a wide variety of effects in the body. Beta-glucans can bind to the outside of natural killer cells and other immune system cells, responsible for destroying cancers, and help ‘turn them on’ and increase their activity. Beta-glucans may also be able to increase overall white blood cell activity in the body.”

So mushrooms don’t kill cancer, but they can boost the immune system and help the body fight against it! Cancer cells are known for hiding in the body and going unnoticed by the cells that are supposed to be hunting them down. New research is showing that some mushroom extracts can help chemotherapy drugs better find and identify cancer cells, which makes chemo more effective.

An early 1970s Japanese study demonstrated the powerful anti-tumor effect of shiitake mushrooms. Mice suffering from sarcoma were given shiitake extract and “six of 10 mice had complete tumor regression, and with slightly higher concentrations, all ten mice showed complete tumor regression.”

Since scientists are constantly studying the health benefits of mushrooms, the list is still growing. Several other benefits include:

• Increased longevity
• Improved blood flow
• Cholesterol and blood sugar normalization
• Liver protection
• Kidney support
• Antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties
• Improved respiratory illnesses, including asthma
• Reduced risk for heart disease
• Nerve regeneration (Lion's Mane)
• Improved skin and hair
• Increased sexual function and athletic ability

Bravecto, Bravecto Plus, Nexgard, Simparica, Simparica Trio, Credelio, Revolution Plus all contain Isoxazoline which is a neurotoxin! ☠️

It is only supposed to be toxic to the parasites however, data is showing the toxicity is NOT limited to parasites and we are seeing many adverse reactions in dogs and cats.

Some adverse reactions that my clients have seen include:
• Aggression
• Personality changes
• Seizures
• Disorientation
• Wobbling or unstable gate
• Sensitivity to touch
• Abnormal vocalizations
• Urinary or f***l incontinence
• Death
I have seen these adverse reactions happen immediately after administration, but I have also worked with cases where the pet parent noticed these reactions days, weeks, or even months later. Sometimes the reactions don’t occur until multiple doses of the medication have been given.

AVOID THIS DRUG!
