The cutest little team heading out onto the Egmont Racing Club track to get some prep miles in for their roles as clerk horses! How smart do they look in their matchy matchy Canter for Cancer halters!
Also… spot the old man finding a new job in his retirement after 15 years of being my number 1 hunter and the newest addition who’s very experienced at passing the winner post first!!
Little sneak peak of Goodys jump school on farm today…
Big quiet hunter in the making….
Has been a wild week but keeping things chipping away as normal as possible….
Had a great day on Sunday at Whangehu Sports. I was slack on the camera and tried to just focus on enjoying my own horses for a change.
Had Joanie back on the truck for the first time in a year, first jumps in that time to for 3 RTR classes, slightly hairy but we got round! A relief to have her back and happy!
Clary out did himself with 3 ribbons from 3 RTR classes including 2 wins! Mr Consistent!!
Video of our darling Dallas, only managed one show jumping round as time wasn’t on our side for Jon to get home to milk. Jons a bit worried we won’t do this super chap justice- he’s got scope!! Excuse the video wobble- Rowdy decided to use my head as a leaning post!
I have had a couple of queries as to why it’s always Jon being videos riding and never me… this is the perfect example of why. Turn the camera my direction and I become an equestrian muppet! Even putting my bridle on becomes a marathon effort 🤷♀️ At least my @canterforcancer jacket made me look snazzy on the track during the drizzle!
First working day of the year gave a bit of a reality check of keeping 4 horses in work- never fear Del Boy nailed the leading out and around the farm.
He loves a farm adventure and isn’t phased at all by the cows, sheep or the crazy little Jack Russell critters hooning around. With the paddocks freshly mowed for the hay it won’t be long and will be able to see what he thinks of a hunt fence!
Tuesdays Arena Havoc
Sally had a new arena pal with DB today- Fraser got his chance to be the leader. Sound on for just how keen he’s getting at his jumping goals in prep for as hopeful entrant in the TEJ Spot You Later class!
School holidays means pony play dates!
Clary and Slow Sally doing some flat work schooling in the arena.
Clary has been ticking along nicely coming back into work- he will be available for viewings in the new year. Just in time for hunt season prep for a new rider!
Mister T
Busy few days for our horses with a trip to Wanganaui A&P on the weekend and our absolute fav show Waverley A&P yesterday- side note if you have never jumped there before you need to at least once. The grounds are phenomenal!
Mixed results at Wanganui but the star of the day was defo Titan (Mister T). He’s a big boy and is taking a long time to work out his body but he tries so so hard!
Waverley we came home with a wee collection of ribbons but I think most proud of ammo again who managed to score a 2nd in his very first 1.20! Didn’t manage a video of that but here’s a snip of Titan trying hisbgiant heart out with my nephews very actively cheering on!
Next stop Egmont A&P with the team of 4 plus Super Sally & Fraser
