The start of a new season 💖. I’ve been spending a lot of time scooping p**p lately, so I’m loving having some kitten cuddles again. You won’t see my face often, but in these days of scammers it’s nice for you to see I’m an actual person.
Plus I’m having a good hair day 😅 and this kitten is just divine 🫠
We live in semi-rural Invercargill, with our 4 children. Most our breeding cats have been imported and all are from amazing lines.
We are expecting beautiful chunky kittens this season in quite the variety of colours. Our website has been updated with photos of all the Queens and Studs.
I don’t often repost photos from our kitten families. (Mostly I think because I used to be a nurse and privacy /confidentiality is always on my mind) People share their kitten lives with me, I don’t like to ask if it’s ok to reshare them for the world to see.
I’d love it if you would want to share photos of your fur babies in the comments below for everyone to see.

Moving around more now. Eyes wide open. Won’t be long and they’ll be out of the birthing box and exploring. I’m starting to handle them and get them used to people….tough job, but somebody has to do it 🥰

Griffin 🥰😻a beautiful stud muffin. Unfortunately he’s the wrong blood group for my girls, so he will be getting desexed soon. Did you know blood group incompatibility is a thing in cats? It’s one of the reasons why we do genetic testing on all our cats…plus to rule out any inherited conditions that are relevant to BSH.
Any kittens that Griffin (blood group A) has with any of my blood group B cats , I have to feed kitten formula to for the first 16hours of their life. It’s an extra stress on the mums and kittens that if we can avoid we will.

‘Little’ Eden and I have been looking over the waiting list, and decided to close it until Christmas time. We will review it again then and possibly open it for a bit.
Variables such as litter size, things going wrong, studs thinking they are horse riding 🙈🤷‍♀️ can influence availability.
So excited about the amazing homes that we have lined out for our babies.
Keep an eye on our page because although kittens will first be offered to people on our list, sometimes people aren’t ready, or life has changed…in which case available kittens will be shown here and on our website. Link in comments.

Eden and Jeannie are settling in nicely after their big trips from Australia. They are both 5 months old, and from some amazing lines. Edens grandparents include Crystal Flames Ultimate Charm and Belantines Ancats Sapphire Db Gd Ch Cool Man Von Walder.
Jeannnies father is Belantines ANCAT Ch Polar Bear Goldenbri. We are so grateful to have them join our breeding program. They are both stunning and super affectionate.

Updating our website today. These beautiful girls are last seasons kittens from Fyella and Dante, kept for our breeding program. Orla and Dee are Black Golden tipped / shell (ny12), and Jelly is Blue Golden shaded (ay11). All 3 are very affectionate lap / chest cats

Kittens incoming!! We are on countdown to the start of the next season. Golden litters are expected first, then we’ve had some matings of our lovely blue girls, so fingers crossed for the pitter patter of little toe beans soon. Super excited for the lovely families on our waiting list.

Something super exciting happened this week!! This beautiful girl arrived on Friday, from Australia, to join our breeding family 😻💝 Furdinkum Eden 🤎💕 She had such a big journey over a couple of days, but has settled in so well. She’s already rolling over for pats and purring away. We are so grateful to Tracey for trusting us with her. It’s such a hard thing to send your kitten overseas, and we couldn’t have the amazing cats that we do without our new friends overseas taking a leap of faith in us 🤗. Eden has an amazing pedigree with the best lines we could have hoped for. So excited to see her develop!

Aggie is feeling pretty happy to be the ‘keeper kitten’ She’s our first Lilac Queen.

We’ve reached a milestone of 1000 followers on Facebook!! Thank you for the love! We are so grateful to be able to share our love of these beautiful cats. Grateful to the breeders that have allowed us to have such an amazing start. That said ‘yes’, and trusted us with their breeding lines. It’s such a leap of faith the send your beloved kitten, the product of all that work, time, commitment, love, sweat and tears, all the way overseas to another breeder that you only know through message conversations. I appreciate how hard that is. It’s hard for me to send our babies all over New Zealand, but you know what amazing homes are waiting for them and it makes it all worthwhile when they have the tears of joy at their new kittens arrival. Grateful also for our kitten families, many of whom I consider friends. We’ve texted and sent photos for months, and I’m so pleased our kittens get to live out their happy loved lives with you! Anyway, a bit about me. Luckily I have a builder for a brother, and a husband that’s happy to potter away with my many cat expansion ideas. We live rural, on 4 acres so our cattery has expanded slowly. We have 4 children, and a few more that call me Mum (even longer story). I’m not usually in to sharing, but when it comes to BSH you can’t shut me up 😄 Their lovely thick plush coat, chunky bodies, beautiful eyes, and adorable personalities. I love every one of our cats. and will happily talk with anyone about them. Today I thought I’d share some of our setup. Male cats are adorable, everything BSH style but on a bigger scale. Our Stud cats are beautiful, loved, and smelly. Stud cats like to mark their territory by spraying. Not all do, but they do have stinky smelling wee. They also mostly don’t share the love with other stud cats. They can fight, and viciously. So, each stud cat has its own house, with an indoor heated area, company next door, toys, and a view of children playing / native birds / alpacas / and a Bri
