Meet the Netherlands crew - Cairo and Desty (foxy), Ollie (Tuxedo), Harley (Grey), Pixie (Calico) and Sugarbear (Grey Tabby).
Cairo and Sugarbear are the oldest of this crew, yet if the tennis ball is out Cairo forgets his age 😅 I met Sugarbear when I met my best friend back home, so seeing her after 3 years and getting cuddles with her again was amazing.

I meet a couple of the local birds around the neighbourhood, and a beautiful deer in the reserve near the beach.

I miss my fur babies at home but this crew are very good, and entertaining company. 😊

Let the adventures begin! 🇳🇱 ☀️ 🚲🚄

I've completed the travel, now for the wedding then touring and relaxation! It's so surreal being in another country, but so so beautiful!

Although I do housesitting year round, I am still very much a home body. The last 24 hours before leaving was an emotional time, as I dropped Hugo to his best friends house and said 'see ya later' to my furbaby Misha this morning.
Hugo was super excited to see his friends and Misha did his usual goodbye, acting all cool lol 😅

I am so grateful I'm able to take this much needed holiday. I feel like this experience of leaving Misha in someone else's care, an amazing person, has helped my understanding and perspective with making sure my clients are happy and can enjoy their holidays with knowing their pets are in good hands. Misha is a very shy boy around strangers and that was a big fear of mine that he wouldn't be happy or settled while I am away, but it's such a relief getting the video updates and knowing he settled and was very affectionate with the housesitter from the get-go!

I'll be uploading some photos soon! It's so amazing to be on holiday but I'm definitely all your furbabies and our walkies!

Today's pack walk started off with full on energy with 15 dogs in total, as we had met up with Rosie's crew (Barking Mad Adventures) at the entrance! Hazel, Harlow, and Buster hit it off with a couple dogs, playing and chasing each other, and boy was it a mini-mission to go our separate ways! 😅 Georgie was so good with all the big dogs everywhere and even started a couple chases. They all had a dip in the pond before saying goodbye.

With the recent rain there were loads of new smells to explore, sticks to share (despite Penny's vocal protest 😂) and lots of more dogs to meet!
Safe to say it was a success with a very quiet sleepy ride home. 💕

Beautiful day for a walk along the river. Both boys were stoked to find a good stick and took turns running away with it. Despite the brisk wind, Hugo still jumped into the river for a swim with no hesitation!

This month we've got Hazel joining our weekly pack walks. She is such a sweet, crazy ball of energy and has fit right in with the pack!

Yesterday we had a great walk out at Oreti Sands; where the labs showed her all the good smells, hidden tracks and where to find the best pinecones!

Today she loved meeting Loki. He was extra energetic today and she just matched that. They spent the whole walk chasing each other, lots of zoomies, running through every puddle and they didn't stop even for photos and treats 😅

A wee Estuary adventure for Georgie and I yesterday, what a beautiful day it was! She was all smiles, happy tails and busy smelling all the new smells. Georgie loved walking along the boardwalk while her wee spaniel senses were very interested in the birds! 😅

✈️ Quick Update and Holiday Notice ☀️

Hey guys,

I hope everyone is staying warm as the frosts begin!

As some of you already know, I had an injury late March and made quite the impact on my tailbone/hip joint. Thankfully it wasn't too bad but still it may take up to 3 more months to heal. It only put me out of action for a few days, but unfortunately the pain has resurfaced over the last couple of weeks. And with Dog walking being my main service I provide this has thrown a spanner in the works; it's a pain in the butt (literally)!

So after talking with my Doctor and Physiotherapist, I have made the decision to pull back on the number of daily walks I can do.
Starting in June I will only be doing 1-2 walks a day, one being a pack walk and a solo/lead walk. With it being Winter and the days becoming shorter, I know how important it is for your furbabies to get outside and have a good play during the day, so I will be offering home visits to those who may be affected by this change.
I will be going over my June schedule over the next couple of weeks and contacting you guys individually if there are any changes.

In more happier news,
This time in 2 months I will be flying to Amsterdam! I have the honour to witness my best bud marry her fiance, and catch up after 3+ years whilst seeing a bit of the Netherlands/Germany.
I will be away for 4 weeks from the 14th of July and won't be resuming dog walking until the start of September. I'm sure this will be an amazing trip and it still doesn't feel real yet, but I will definitely miss my daily adventures with your beautiful puppers!

Hi all,

Please be careful out there if your dog isn't fully vaccinated. Best to keep them on a lead walk and avoiding any p**p you see as that is the main way this horrible virus spreads, as well as any shared food/water bowls.

My pack walks will be restricted to only fully vaccinated dogs for the time being, as I would hate to put any others at risk! I can do lead walks too if you would still like your puppers walked, I will be keeping any lead/bowls seperate and cleaned for this too.

It was so good being back out and about yesterday!
Otto had his first pack walk and did so well with Hugo and the Labs!
They had a good swim in the pond before drying off by chasing each other over the hills and through the trees. Bailey got a wee bit jealous that her sister made a new chasing buddy, but later joined in on the chase. Hugo did his usual thing of herding and watching the pack with the occasional chase 😅

It was so good to get out today with the Tuesday crew! The labs are back to walks now and loving chasing each other and exploring the golf course. Pixie and Loki have an interesting but funny dynamic; barking at each other because they want to be in front while chasing, to acting like nothing happened a second later 😅 And Storm mostly just chills and explores when there's no chase to be apart of.
Today was the first time these guys have been together in awhile so think they'll all sleep well tonight!

Bit of a bitter-sweet time the last couple nights, getting to hangout with Teddy before he heads off to Aussie to reunite with his family.
They have moved over the ditch but Teddy had to fly later, so he got to stay with my parents the last few days.

It was always such a pleasure to hangout with their crew at the farm. I started housesitting for them a couple years before I started my business, and they have always been a great support!

Definitely going to miss this wee man, his brother Georgie and farm mates; but so grateful for the time we got to hangout.🥺💕

Today was a beautiful day full of walks, swims and baby nuggets (kittens)!!

Started off with a very peaceful walk through Seaward with Archie and Fluffy.
Iruka joined the pack today for a walk around Oreti Sands. Him and Harlow immediately clicked, played and chased each other for the majority of the walk; while the labs did their thing and occasionally joined in the chase. They were all off pretty quickly for a dip in the pond leaving me in the dust. 😅

Lastly tonight I finally got this meet these wee nuggets of fur! I am house-sitting for a friend and her cat, Pussoms, had her first litter over the weekend.

Buster and I went on an adventure to Fiordland on Saturday!!
We took the opportunity of a nice weather weekend to explore Manapouri and Te Anau, I took him to my favourite spots and he got to meet a couple new friends!

First stop was Fraser Beach, Manapouri, where we took a nice stroll and rested under the Kowhai tree. Next was the river, Busters favourite by far. We walked along the track, met some new friends and had a play in the cool water.

Te Anau was our final visit where I treated myself to a lunch at The Ranch, while Buster kept guard and greeted every person/dog who walked by.
Before we headed off home we took a long walk along the lake, taking in all the sun and collecting a couple rocks along the way; Buster had to check them first too.

He was such a good traveller, sleeping most of the drive and loving all the new smells around when we stopped to stretch.

Manapouri has always been close to my heart with frequent family visits growing up so it's like my second home. It was so lovely to visit again and a bonus to have an awesome wee friend for company!

The labs met a couple new friends on Wednesday and had a great play and ran around together!
Brandy and Floki started to play chase from the get go while Bailey and Chewy took a nice stroll with a couple zoomie sessions.

Afterwards I had a lovely walk through the bush with Pixie and Storm.

New work set up and a wee sneak peak to my new business logo progress 😎

Unfortunately I had to say goodbye to my 6 year old HP laptop last week as there was no chance to recover the hard drive. Kinda felt like it was telling me to enjoy my holiday instead of doing work 😂
Thankfully I had purchased a tablet awhile back so had to add some accessories before being able to continue paperwork! Gotta love technology 😅

Today's adventure with Pixie and Storm, exploring a new track in Otātara.
The rain was a bit heavy in some parts but that didn't stop them running through muddy puddles and chasing each other around the trees.

It was nice to cuddle up on the couch all nice and dry in front of the tv for the night :)

I have a very heavy heart writing this post. Two weeks ago, my lovely clients lost their beautiful girl Kappa.
I would take Kappa and her sister, Lola, out for walks through Queens Park each week, then back home for a play around the yard. Despite her age, Kappa was always up and ready to get outside and explore. She would always have her nose to the ground or in the bushes, follow Lola to find new smells and get excited when new people would pass or stop for pets. I loved her young spirit, excitement, happy smile and sweetest personality.

I feel so privileged to have met Kappa when I did and grateful for the time spent each week with her and her sister Lola. My thoughts are with Kappas family xx

Wednesday was a very full day with 4 separate walks, so glad the weather held up!

I started the day off by hanging out with two handsome boys, Archie and Fluffy, and had a lovely walk along the Otepuni.
Followed by our usual pack walk with Bailey, Brandy, Buster, and Hugo; who all welcomed Harvey and showed him the ropes around Oreti Sands, not forgetting the swimming pond where they all raced too! They all got on very well and had a great few games of chase with some exploring around the trees.

Hugo then got to meet and play with a new dog, Loki, who will be joining in on some pack walks in the future. It was Loki this time who showed Hugo the best places around the Estuary, as Hugo was new to the area but certainly loved it!
We then dropped Hugo off home for a good rest after a big day, while I went to pick up Gordo and Iruka, a new couple boys, for my last walk of the day. These boys didn't mind the rain setting in while they chased and bounded through the long grass, chasing each other with the squeaker ball, until they found a looovely smelly pond of water to have a swim in. They were stoked and didn't seem to want to leave, but with some bribing of treats we turned around to start a new game of fetch, all the way back to the car.

Definitely a big day but certainly makes me love getting to hangout with lots of different great dogs!

Little did the girls know we planned to walk all the way to the beach on todays walk through Sandy point! I think they were very happy with the surprise and ran straight for the water!

Had the whole group out today for a pack walk! First time having all 6 together and it was absolute chaos! Everyone was so excited to see each other and they were so good chasing and playing around. Definitely looking forward to doing this again!
