Update on the scrub fire. All the best to the crews currently battling this.

🚨 Fire Update – Awarua Peninsula 🚨

A fire broke out at midnight and has now spread to 250 hectares with an 8 km perimeter. Fire crews have been working through the night, and helicopters began operations at first light to help contain the blaze.

🚒 Our Response:
✅ 5 helicopters (3 conducting water drops, 2 as aerial platforms)
✅ 9 fire appliances
✅ Approx. 40 firefighters on the ground

UPDATE!! "Spot" has been reunited with his owner...a wee girl who only just got him with her own money! Thanks for all your shares and help...Spot's real name by the way is... "DOG" :-)

We don't normally do lost and found pets but this cute doggie has been found and we are on a mission to find the owners...
"Spot" (as we have named him) was found on Spey Street just outside ACC, opposite our studios beside Chipmunks...
Am thinking it's a well loved pet of some young boy or girl so let's try and get "Spot" home!!
