Annie 🐶
What a beautiful girl inside and out, she was such a pleasure to meet today. Has had a history with her nails being an issue but we got them done today with a few treats (maybe a few too many 😉)
How can you say no to this face? 💕
Stanley 🦎 🐉
How cool is he?!?
Stanley had a wee nail trim while I was visiting his fur sister, he is by far the easiest nail trim I’ve ever done 😅
Willow 🐱
Sweet Willow needed a bit of a freshen up and was such a good girl for her first groom. Here she is getting some sun on her freshly trimmed tummy post groom, no grudges were held here 😅
Watch my posts for her awesome house mate who really made my day today 🦎 😉
Theo enjoying that well deserved kitty crack tube ❤️
I’m seeing lots of matted cats recently as a lot of cats are experiencing an early shed, it’s important to keep checking your long haired cats daily as it can easily get away on you ☺️
Of course if you need that extra help, especially with removal of mats get in touch asap 🐾
Larry 🐈
Loves a good box infact we partially groomed him in this box 😅
Did you know cats like boxes because they like to be enclosed spaces, it makes them feel safe as cats are ambush predators and finding confined places where they can hide, hunt prey and feel safe and warm is an instinctive behaviour.
What interesting places does your cat like to hide?
Dirty nails?
Cats can develop a build up of black or brown discharge on the surface of their nails, it’s a combination of saliva, debris, skin cells or anything else that they have walked on.
It’s important to keep an eye on your cats nails as this discharge can lead to a nail bed infection if not removed.
Most cats will clean their own nails but as they get older they seem to forget about them 🤭 you can clean these for your cat easily with a baby wipe soaked in warm water ☺️.
Before 😲 and After ✔️
Nail trims are super important.
Long nails are more prone to breaking, which can be both painful and dangerous for your cat.
Get in touch if you’d like some help getting your cats nails trimmed 😻
Embracing the fluff ❤️
CC 🐈
Enjoying that post groom reward ♥️
She surprised her owner by being an absolute super star for her first ever groom!
See you in summer for a belly shave beautiful fluff pants ☺️
I got to meet a beautiful new kitten that’s joined one of my families yesterday and isn’t he gorgeous 🥰
Casper you’ve stolen my heart ♥️
It’s snowing……. nail dust 🤣
The grinder is one of my favourite tools despite the snow dust storm it creates 😅
Awww Truffles 🐹
You made working Saturday worth it ☺️❤️
Bear 🐻 🐈
Looking a wee bit ridiculous 🤭
But now he has mat free legs, tummy and bottom 🙌
He definitely didn’t hold a grudge and devoured the well deserved treat pile after too 😻
Another day with some (a lot) of cat glitter exposure 😹 ❤️
Bailey 🐈
That post groom hide behind a chair move 😹
Bailey needed a few mats removed today and he is one of my wriggliest clients I spend half
The time trying to catch mr slinky 😜
Monty 🐈
Did he want a groom? No 🤭
Can you tell from his pre groom photo? Yes 😂
Butter wouldn’t melt ❤️
Love my visits with this beautiful girl and her sister 🥰
Minks and Pepper 🐶
Minks for nails and Pepper for nails and a**l gland expression, these two are such good dogs and both have such funny wee personalities. Minks will always wait to have treats until Pepper is done with his “time” with me, such a gentleman ❤️
Bob the Budgie 🐦
Bob is very beautiful and certainly knows it, quite the chatty we thing especially while having his nails trimmed, we won’t imagine what he might be “saying” 😂🤭
Ruby 🐈
Before - No after 🤦♀️
Not super appreciative of the groom that was included in her schedule today 🤭 but at least this time she wasn’t in hiding when I arrived 😂
Biscuit 🍪 🐈
Such a sweet wee girl with a tad bit of crazy 😜
Biscuit’s colouring is called a “Calico” their personality is similar to their close relative the “Tortishell” they have a reputation for unique personalities, sometimes referred to as “catitude.” They tend to be strong-willed, a bit hot-tempered, and they can be very possessive of their humans.
I have to admit I had a confusion when I first met her as she was exhibiting her “catitude” very proudly 🤭😂
Mo 🐱
Mo had his first nail trim with me last week, he is a very friendly cat so didn’t mind the vet nurse “intruder” at all as long as the treats were plentiful 😂
Mo has a condition called Heterochromia which is when you have one blue eye and one eye either green, yellow, amber, or brown. Dogs and Humans can also have this condition which generally has no negative effects and is often harmless.
We call this kitty crack 😂
Pablo 🐈
Despite her face I swear she doesn’t hate me 🤭😂
Wasn’t so keen for the “after” groom photo she found a very safe place in the shadows!
Pablo has come a long way from having multiple knots to now I’m lucky to find one! These maintenance grooms are helping keep her coat beautiful and clean 😻
Stella 🐈⬛
Stella was the lucky recipient of the grooming competition!
I’m so happy how this groom turned out and she is such a deserving candidate and also the bestest girl for her big transformation 😻
A whopping 307grams was removed from Stella’s coat! Needless to say she will be feeling a 💯 times better ❤️
Lena 🐈
It never ceases to amaze how much fur you can get out of these cats!
Lena was such a good girl for her groom and I’m sure is feeling a lot fresher 😻
Fonzie 🐈
I met Fonzie last week for the first time to trim her nails, she’s a very active cat and has unfortunately broken a few of her nails in the past so now her owners are making sure they are kept short!
Did you know? Devon Rex cats are known to be lively and highly extroverted. They have several 'dog-like' qualities, such as a fondness for fetching toys 😻
Veeko 🐈
Every cat has a “safe” place post groom, a lot of cats dart for the door but Veeko finds his spot under the table away from the evil combs or the lady holding them 😂
Koda 🐶
This beautiful boy has been my weekly friend for the last few weeks as he’s needed some ear treatment while his owners have gone away, he is the bravest and kindest boy and every time I called in to do his treatment he took it like champ and I was so impressed at each visit! 😍

Sunburn in Cats and Dogs. ☀️🐈🐕 Like humans, dogs and cats are susceptible to sunburn. The ultraviolet radiation which forms part of the sun’s rays can cause immediate and long term damage to our furry friends. Some breeds and colours of pets are more predisposed. Animals with white hairs and pink skin are more likely to get burnt because less melanin is produced than in darker coloured skin. Melanin helps to protect the skin from the damage the sunlight can do to DNA; white hairs and pink skin allow more of the harmful UV radiation to reach the sensitive layers within the skin. Why is getting Sunburnt bad for our pets? ☀️🌞 Excessive sun can cause damage to your pet’s body. The sun is incredibly powerful and dangerous. It has the capability to alter the DNA, the blueprint for life, inside their cells! Sunburn can cause: Discomfort - redness and itching can result in your pet causing damage to their skin. Blistering - these can form on the skin and burst leading to an infection. Dehydration and heat stroke - this is a common result of sunburn, signs include vomiting and diarrhoea, severe panting, weakness or wobbliness, dark gums and eventually even collapse and death. Cancer - there are many different skin cancers which can form due to excessive sunlight, including basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. These skin cancers can be fatal as some have the ability to metastasise (spread) and form secondary tumours elsewhere. Many appear first as small non-healing ulcers, but some may form more characteristic “lumps” in the skin. While often treatable if caught early, skin cancers in pets can be highly malignant and life-threatening. See images in commens below for examples of these cancers presented in cats and dogs. What do we do to protect our furry friends?🐶😺 Offer shade to your pet when taking them on days out. If your pet enjoys being outside, you should place their water and bed in the shade to encourage them to stay
