MINI BUS DRIVER REQUIRED - PART TIME
The Darnley Club Day Centre for Seniors requires a driver with a P License to transport people living in Kaiapoi and surrounding areas to and from the Community Centre. This is a permanent part time job share position aprox 10 hours per week, flexibility needed to cover sickness and holidays. Hours of work are;
Wednesday 2:30 - 4:30pm
Thursday 8:00 - 10:00am
2:30 - 4:30pm
Friday 8:00 - 10:00am
2:30 - 4:30pm

Well that's another Darnley Club year done and dusted....and what fun it was full of friendship and good times. The Christmas raffle has been drawn and we would like to thank everyone for supporting our fundraiser, it's much appreciated and gratefully received. All the staff, volunteers and committee would like to wish everyone a safe, peaceful Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
We look forward to seeing everyone back at Darnley from Thursday 9 January 2025 so we can do it all over again!

Wow! What a couple of weeks it has been. We've had a lovely lunch delivered by Kaiapoi Pizza Hut 🍕🍕🍕, a wonderful afternoon with visitors from Annaleise Haven playing housie, a visit from our Dog Therapy Friends and the digger has arrived to start work on our garage👏👏.
Never a dull moment amongst friends😀

We are super excited and proud to announce that our wonderful Darnley Volunteers have been recognised by Volunteer Canterbury at this years Award Ceremony held in Christchurch this week🎉🎉

What a special week we have had at Darnley. We were very excited and privileged to have children from two local schools - Kaiapoi North and St Patricks to come visit us on seperate days, each giving a wonderful singing performance then they spent time chatting and getting to know friends of the Club. Such polite delightful children and great ambassadors for their schools. We are proud to live in a caring community and will be looking forward to their next visits, continuing to build friendships and connections with these lovely young people 😊

We have the following guest speakers in the Club this month;
TUESDAY 19SEPT 10:45am ASPIRE CANTERBURY
A talk will be given on services offered by Aspire including the Total Mobility transport Scheme and their free disability and health related information and advice service. A good range of products used to remove barriers to daily living will be brought along and demonstrated, these will be available to purchase.
FRIDAY 29SEPT 10:45am ST JOHN
Talking about everything St John has to offer, Health Shuttle, Medical Alarm, being a supporter, Caring Caller.....and more.

Two fantastic organisations with lots to offer. EVERYONE WELCOME to join us, both talks will only last aprox 1 hour.
