LAND ROVER HORSE OF THE YEAR 2024

What a fantastic week!

Star Sign LPE with Kasha Yeo triumphed in the NZ Led Adult Pinto Pony of the Year class to take the title win, and came a respectable 5th in the Ridden Pinto Pony Title Class- we are absolutely thrilled with this as Colin is only age four.

Divine Astrology LPE with Sharla Cochrane-Tangney had a fantastic show also, taking the Title for Arabian Derivative Youngstock, Runner up in the Led Pinto Pony Youngstock Title class, and Runner up in the Led Performance Pony Youngstock division.

As well as their title and two reserves, Sharla and Leroy also won two Best Presented classes- thanks in part to fabulous plaits by Rebecca Aplin.

Thank you so much to Equi-Smart, Dudding Contractors, The NZ Pinto Society, Corivale Pony Stud and Sandhill Performance Horses for their generous support of these divisions.

Our most sincere and heartfelt thanks to our fantastic sponsors The Honey Trap and Jones Hay for their unwavering commitment to our journey.

Both ponies are by Northern Star (Andalusian x stationbred stallion) who is owned by Northern Sporthorses.

Finally, it was such a pleasure to see the comraderie in Hastings after three years of tough cancelations.

Anne Ticehurst, my beautiful friend, original creator of The Honey Trap sadly left us before she could make a trip to HOY and it was on her bucket list.
