Have you got one of our loan cat carriers? 🐈

All of our cat carriers are out on loan and haven’t been returned 😞 we usually have 6 of them and they’ve all gone awol!!

We know it’s easy to forget and life is busy busy! However this is a free of charge service we offer our clients and do rely on the carries being returned to us so we can keep offering this service.

If you have borrowed a cage from us in the past, would you mind having a look around in case they’re in hiding (like the cats when carriers come out 😅)

🐾 FOUND CAT 🐈‍⬛

This handsome lad was brought to us last night.

He is super friendly, and is wearing a collar but no microchipped and not desexed; he also has a sore eye that we’re currently treating.

He was found around Parkvale Rd.

Today we had to perform emergency surgery in one of our patients. Thankfully he is recovering well.

Amaruq, one of Kiki’s dogs, played a vital role - she donated blood so we could transfuse our patient, giving him higher chances of recovery ❤️

Just like humans, animals too need blood transfusions and dogs and cats can be donors. Check out our “featured” posts to find out more 🐾

Gorgeous Bear came in last Sunday to see Dr Emily for a sore paw - ouchy!

This was Bear’s first visit with us and he was so relaxed, strolling around the consult room and even doing some tricks - he knows shake and high five!!

(And the importance of microchips!)

Today we’ve helped reunite Misty and his family.

Misty had been missing for over a year! He was brought in to us this morning for a microchip scan and, because his details and his owners details were correctly loaded and kept up to date, as well as marking Misty as LOST we were able to track down his owner that was delighted to have his fluffy ball back home (minus his trouble puffs 😅)

Make sure your pet’s microchip details are registered on NZCAR and up to date so if your pet goes missing it can be quickly reunited with you ❤️

Sweet ball of fluff Mia came to visit us for a spa day 🧖‍♀️

A fresh brush, haircut and manicure treatments will ensure she has a little more comfort during winter.
Mia is almost 18 years old and although she was a little feisty to begin with, the team managed to get the job done by giving her lots of cuddles and bribes (aka licky treats!)

He hangs around Montgomery Ave.

Do you have a young, healthy dog 25kg or over?

We are looking for blood donors!

Some of our animals when they are critically ill, need a donation to save their lives. We would be so grateful if they could help a fellow pet in need.

We need your blood donor pup to meet the following criteria 🥰

🩸 Healthy dogs
🩸 Between 1-7 years old
🩸 Over 25kg

We would love to hear from you if you think your dog could be a candidate.

We would ideally need to blood type your dog first (a quick simple blood test in clinic - no charge to you) and then if we do need them for a donor they would need to be available at fairly short notice.

Your donor pup might need to be sedated for donation and very pampered by our team upon wake up ❤️
