Hello everyone, I had a bit of a break but now you HAVE to meet the lovely Enzo. I am fostering him for SPCA and I can only say he is the easiest puppy I ever looked after/owned. He's completely chilled, well mannered - no chewing, digging, barking etc.- and gets on with my team of dogs really well. He willingly goes into his grate and is not heard through the night. He has a very good appetite and is not fussy at all. He does almost everything for a treat. His sit already is solid, we're working on his downs and walking on the lead. I think he is a future superstar - the perfect pup to adopt in my view plus he's sooo handsome. Please contact SPCA Kerikeri if you are interested.

York really never made it on this page he was rehomed so quickly. He's living a very happy life now with a senior heading dog girlfriend on a small farm with a very experienced new owner. All 3 of them live a semi-retired happy life now 🥰

Retired working Border Collie: I am looking for a new home for Please. She is 12 yrs old and neutered. She has mainly worked sheep and had some moderate success in dog trialing when she was young, but she is too powerful for trialing. She is still very fit and likes to work, so she needs lots of exercise.
She has been an inside dog all her live and has never been in a kennel. She is not good with cats but very good with children.
No time wasters, please.

URGENTLY NEEDED:
I am looking for a loving foster home for a 12 yr old heading dog. She has good manners and is well behaved but is not good with cats, but loves children. She usually gets on well with other dogs. If you can take this dog for a week or so that wld be of great help.
If you generally are willing to care for a retired or unwilling working dog (usually collies or huntaways) please contact me.
Working dogs are usually extremely well mannered and make lovely companions. They just want to be loved and cared for and want to enjoy their retirement with easy walks and some good food.

Meet York. He is a very fit 10 yrs old Huntaway and he is looking for a new forever home. His owner works on a big farm and it is getting too much for the lovely boy, but he is fit enough to work on a smaller flatter block. He works both cattle and sheep. York is a very friendly and trusting dog and never has had any bad handling. Originally from the Hawks Bay he pleased his owner with his good working attitude and friendliness in the same time. As all well educated huntaways York only barks on command and stops when told so, therefore there is no unwanted barking problems. York is good with all stock including chickens and cats. As you can see he LOOOVES children

Update on Kate: Kate is very happy with her new owners and 2 lovely new huntaway friends. They play together but also work together on the dairy farm, but not too hard so they have enough time to have some fun time

Update on Kate: she has found her new forever home. Since she's quite a fit 9 year old she is helping on a small dairy farm and has 2 new huntaway friends. I hope I'll keep her followers updated with new adventures in her new home 🥰

This is Kate, one of Jill’s old workmates. She is 9 yrs old, worked hard all her life and is now looking for a forever loving retirement home. She’s a huntaway but she has a pathetic bark and only speaks on command, therefore excessive barking won't be a problem- she’s very well trained and is still fit enough to do small jobs. She would be perfect on a small lifestyle block with a few cattle or sheep. She also is neutered.
