Not long until the kittens move to their new homes .
Just desexing microchipping and second vaccination to be done.
Of course one has to stay!
Meanwhile they enjoy having time out to race around the garden for a while and then rush back inside to have an afternoon rest. Looking forward to the show season as distance living in the far north and road closures limited me last year.

Happy New year to all my friends and those interested in the Cornish Rex Breed.
It is a bit like a circus at the moment here .
Marcos black smoke bicolour is the only kitten still available at the end of January.
He is such and affectionate boy , non stop purr and is going to have a lovely wavy coat.
The others running my house all go to their new owners when the holidays are over.
Their day starts at 6.30am with breakfast in the sunroom.
A bit like lions at the zoo feeding time .
Then it is time to play and as you know CRX's make the most of every opportunity
At the moment I have a plague of little skinks in the garden and of course the kittens have great fun hunting them, catching and letting them go in the house.
By 1pm all is quiet and that means "snooze time " until 4 pm when of course they are starving !
I must say that routine is so important because they have built in clocks
They are very good at settling for bed with full tummies and are quiet until the next morning .
Only 3 adults have the privilege of evening TV and the company of my Chihuahua Reggie .
In all a happy but chaotic household!

Summer and some welcome rain without wind.
Just a few pictures of my cats and trees that are flowering now .
In the cat world over the years I have met SO many special people and often quite unexpected gifts .
Thank you Rosalie for putting a page up for owners of my kittens now cats over many years ,.
She named the page " Jo and the Sunset Cornish Rexes"
Now I can see how the cats are enjoying their lives with their families plus all the mad activities that Cornish Rex like to do

Amy (Sunset Full of Fun) is the last of the older litter still here hoping to find someone who would treasure her and appreciate he love of being part of everything She is so affectionate and is spayed microchipped and registered with NZCF and NZCR.

"Sunset Sylvester" and "Sunset Full of Fun" will be available for new homes at the beginning of December .
They have their parents great nature, real purr machines
"S Full of Fun" lives up top her name name because life is a joke with her.
SO affectionate but full of m ischief.
Sylvester also a really happy boy but the more dignified of the two.
Their parents Miss Marple and Jack have really good coats Photos attached .

"Sunset Belle Etoile" (Ellie) has 5 kittens but they are only 4 wks old,
A blue bicolour girl ,a cream or red point bicolour boy.

A black bicolour girl and boy and a lilac point bicolour girl (stays)

Today's photos
I tortie and white girl and 2 black bicolour girls ready for new homes at beginning of November.
In the younger litter of 6 aged 4 wks there are 2 chocolate bicolour girls one black bicolour boy .
They would be ready to go to new homes late November

The older kittens now 8 wks old and first vaccination today.
Only girls available in this litter at the beginning of November.

I am so pleased with this first litter by " Anglarna's Jack the Ripple (Imp Swed) "
His father from Solrex cattery in Russia ad mother from Frida Marklund in Sweden
Jack has a fantastic nature and lovely body type with long long legs and big ears.
Many thanks to Bradley Jones and David Morton who arranged for him to come to me.

The younger litter by Jack from Silvy (Dbl Gd Ch Sunset Miss Marple) are 3 wks old and also very attractive not only just staggering out of the "nest'

So a busy spring here with another litter planned late October .

This weekend I took "Sunset Mr Softee" to the Abyssinian and Somali show in Auckland
I have never shown a neuter before but he is such a sweetie and behaved so well , his first show at 7 month and 10 in his class.

Many thanks to the judges and as usual a lovely show meeting up with old friends.

Ring 4 With Emma Kimberley 4th

At the end of the show I had to say goodbye to him as he went to his new owner and a wonderful home .
Hopefully we will see him on the show bench next year.

I really appreciate receiving updates on kittens in their new homes. This collage is rather special taken just after a few days in his new home . Umi Zumi you are gorgeous!
Meanwhile Betty's kittens are on the move at 4 wks of age . Like all Cornish Rexes they love climbing.
So easy to go up but not so easy to come down!

Betty (Sunset Dancing in the Dark)Had her final litter on 27/7/2024.
Her mother was my lovely "Ch, Melody De Baudelaire Imp Fra)" bred by Florence Toinet .
She has always produced beautiful kittens and will deserve retirement when these babies are weaned .
A bit of a worry waiting for this litter because they were not born until day 67 but luckily 6 kittens arrived without any problem in the late afternoon.
These are my first litter by "Anglarna's Jack the Ripple (Swed)" a black van with beautiful body type , long legs and a tail that goes on forever capped with a gorgeous temperament.
He arrived a few months ago from Bradley Jones in Melbourne .
Jack's father being Russian from Solrex cattery and mother from Frida Marklund in Sweden;
3 boys and 3 girls . A pointed girl, a tortie bicolour (stays!) , a black bicolour girl and 2 black bicolour boys
