🐈Wellington Caturday🐈

Join us for Caturday! We're open every Saturday from 10am - 2pm (until 15th March), so you can pop in and meet our adorable cats without needing an appointment.

If you've spotted a special cat on our adoption page at www.spca.nz/caturday-adoptions, don’t forget to register your interest directly on their profile. This helps us ensure that we can make the adoption process at our centre go smoothly.

Looking for your purrfect match? We recommend arriving as close to 10am as possible, as our cats often find their forever homes quickly!

Even with a badly broken leg, this girl's friendly, excitable spirit wouldn't be dampened! ❤️ Moot came into our Wellington Centre after a rough start to life, and immediately won over the hearts of our entire team.

“She was always such an excitable, bubbly girl, it was actually hard to get her to sit still and rest her leg!" says Sam, one of our Canine Attendants.

Despite coming into SPCA’s care with injuries, nothing seemed to faze this excitable, sweet girl, whose personality shone throughout her recovery.

Your donations go into the community pantry, which we use to provide temporary assistance to struggling owners who approach us for help.

Tomorrow, our SPCA Centres around New Zealand are hosting their first walk-in Caturday! 🐈

For the next eight weeks on Saturdays, you can walk-in to your local SPCA Centre to meet the cats and kittens who are waiting to be adopted – no appointments necessary ❤️

Look at this face! 😍 Kahu is the star of this week, and what a glow up he's had.

Growing up with his siblings and his mum in our Wellington Centre, this handsome boy got all of the medical care, love and hugs that he needed to grow into a strong, confident kitten. We weren't surprised that he was adopted easily when he was big enough, and his new family told us that "everyone loves him" - we can see why!

Want to come and meet all of the cute cats at SPCA? Come along to one of our walk-in Caturdays! 🐱🙌

While adopters usually require appointments to meet the animals, for the next eight weeks you can simply drop into our Centres on Saturdays to meet the cats and kittens in our care.

Kitten season is in full swing, with over 1,400 felines needing to find homes over the next eight weeks ❤️ When you choose to adopt from SPCA, you can rest assured knowing they've been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and health-checked, to ensure they have the best start to their new lives.

To speed up the adoption process for you on the walk-in Caturdays, we recommend registering your interest at www.spca.nz/caturday-adoptions - click the 'register to adopt' button on one of their profiles! (Please note appointments are still required for other animal adoptions).

🐶!! Cuteness incoming !!🐶

Holly, Ivy, Misty and Star are now 8 weeks old and ready to join their forever families 🩷

These cuties have been in an amazing foster home where they have gained lots of confidence, so they would be well suited to homes with other animals or children.

Without any history we are unsure of their breed mix but we know they will grow to be medium/large in size 🐕

The Masterton center is open by appointment this weekend for viewings, if you're interested in adoption please apply online or email [email protected] 😁

Roly Poly's reaction to being the star of 😲😂

According to his family, this character has settled in to his new home very easily. "It feels like we've had him for months, based on how relaxed he is here. He's a ball of energy and loves playing with us or his toys (though he's completely ignored the cat bed we bought him, and has been sleeping in our bed instead)."

Looking for a fun activity for the school holidays? Design a bandana, and win a dog soft toy! 🐶 🙌

Get your kids to unleash their creativity and design a fun dog bandana. It's good to remind them that while dressing up animals can look cute, it's important to consider their comfort and think about why they may not enjoy it - and bandanas can be a good alternative to funny outfits!

How to enter:
1. Head to the latest issue of Kind Matters, and create a unique bandana design using the template.
2. Take a photo or scan of your finished design, and upload it online along with your details.
