Caledonia at Roydvale Pony Club ODE 🤩💜

Posie blew us away at her first event, don’t think I’ve stopped smiling since that cross country round!

Beautiful start in the frosty morning with a 29 dressage for her second time ever in the white boards and 4th 🎖️🤩🤌🏼
Sack the jockey in the showjumping - cantered straight past fence 4 🤦🏼‍♀️😅
Thrown in the deep end in the 80 for her first event but needn’t have worried, she bowled around full of confidence for a super clear round.
Frustratingly a fence judge marked us as missing a fence - despite having us jumping said fence on video and in a professional photo 🙈

Overall extremely stoked and looking thoroughly forward to the rest of the season and seeing where our journey takes us 🏅❤️🐴

Huge shoutout to MT Equine services for coming to my rescue and finishing clipping Posie for me super quickly when my clippers gave up!
She did a beautiful job and Posie just loved her - highly recommend 🥰✂️💇🏽‍♀️

Had the privilege of having this lovely 6 year old mare here for a bit of a tune up recently. So eager to please and trainable we thoroughly enjoyed her time here!
Worked predominantly on finding her forward buttons and learning to take the bridle instead of tucking her nose in.
Her workload was nice and varied as being a young horse they can get a bit bored and stuffy if you overdo the schooling so lots of variety to strengthen her without doing the same thing every day; hacking, jumping, outings, big canters in the front paddock and schooling.

I have spaces available again in two weeks, pm me for more information 😇

After about a month of groundwork I finally had my first ride on my new little project at home. Her second ride off the track and she blew us away 🥰
Such a special mare looking forward to seeing what she can do! [and YES she’s dark dark grey 😍]

Awesome to see the benefits of working on their way of going from the ground once you’re in the saddle 👏🏼

Now that exams are all over rover for Sem-1 📚 the horses are coming back into work and Posie is finally back to 100% and rideable again thanks to everyone at Canterbury Equine ❤️‍🩹👌🏼

Love going back to basics over winter - lots and lots of long reining all around the property and the quiet roads, double lunging and groundwork 😇💪🏼 looking forward to hopefully catching the end of the winter ODE season and then cracking on with spring + summer 🤩

Beautiful ‘Xena’ in the evening sun last night.
Lovely, straightforward 5yo who has just been an absolute pleasure to have around - such a fun wee pony!
Keep your 👀‘s peeled if you’re in the market as she will be listen on trade me shortly and will make someone a fantastic all rounder to continue producing. Can see her being a medium saddle hunter pony, show hunter, eventing - the worlds her oyster! 🌎

With my Number 1. 🦄 now out of action for a wee while I’ve had a lot more time free up for other horses - and would love to find something to ride/produce/compete longer term if anyone has anything sitting in their paddock (especially if you don’t want to pay extravagant $$ for your horse to be professionally produced indefinitely!)

Happy to discuss different options but I’m very flexible and negotiable just want to keep the momentum up and increase horsepower!

⭐️ longer term producing/lease, many different options!

Third time seeing a XC fence and asked a bit more of her today in prep for Young Event Horse 🙌🏼
Couldn’t wipe the smile off my face!! 🥹
This horse just continues to blow me away and every day I feel more lucky and grateful to be able to sit on her! 🥰 Thoroughly adjusted to the sport horse life now and safe to say she’s taken to it like a duck to water.

Appreciation post for the legend that is Lynne McKenzie🎖️❣️
(and not at all sucking up to convince her to take Posie and I 7 hours south for an event 😂)

Not only the day to day things like videoing, holding horses, and driving 🚛 but also the fact that you looked after my horses for me while I was in Europe for a year! So grateful and relieved that I didn’t have to sell Posie as she’s become the best teammate I could ask for.
Thanks for everything you do for me, and apologies in advance for making you camp in the float next weekend 🥰

Exceeded my expectations, nice and forward and carrying herself nicely. Was very windy and the arena can be quite spooky but she was unphased. Enjoying working with this lady!

A couple of sweet pairs of ears brightening up a grey autumn day today!☁️🥰
Loving being so busy at the moment - university, horses and working part time definitely fills up my day! I’m very lucky to ride some lovely horses and ponies for some lovely people which makes it all worth it! 📚🐎

With the very special Andi 4 emma being sold and headed off to the North Island 🚛💨 I now possibly have one more space for an off-site catch ride around west Melton during the week. Perfect for a one off tune up or some weekly schooling without committing to sending your horse away!

🎖🇩🇰Danish Warmblood Stallion Show 2023🇩🇰🎖

What an amazing week in Herning! A completely unreal experience compared to anything we have in New Zealand and such a supportive and social atmosphere in the stables.
Hesselhoej had a fantastic week with 2 stallions achieving Premium status and 3 approved, as well as 2 of our young horses placing 4th and 5th in the Danish Young Horse final for 5 year olds!🎖🏆✨
One of my favourite parts was that the stables were open to the public so constantly had people walking through including young children excited to see and pat the horses - which felt a little surreal that that was once me and now I’m here in Denmark slowly but surely working towards my dreams! 🥰
I tend to be a little hard on myself and put pressure on to be out competing and getting results like other people my age but this week was a great reminder of how invaluable this experience and education is - I’m just playing the long game!🙌🏼

What a different horse!✨

Could not be happier with the transformation Posie has shown in less than three months! She certainly didn’t look like much in the beginning but I am so glad I decided to send her on the big trip South.
Goes to show what good, consistent feeding and work can do. She is glowing from the inside out, happy and healthy 🥰 still has a lot of growing and filling out to do so she is enjoying some well deserved down time🤩🌾

Fantastic first ridden competition for Posie today at Day 2 of the Canterbury Dressage Spring Series🌸
She was fantastic and scored many 7s with lots of lovely comments 💕
Very happy with how she coped as a 4yo Thoroughbred, you would think she’s been doing this for years!
Thanks to Canterbury Dressage and all the volunteers for running an awesome day.

Hey team, I am back in Christchurch after a fantastic 8 months working for Mapperley Stud in the Waikato!🐎

I am available between now and mid-November for catch rides, shows (led and ridden), grooming, lessons and potentially one or two schooling spaces before I move to the UK to further my career✈️ 🇬🇧🦄
Available in the afternoons during the week and weekends, and at this stage available at every show coming up apart from Canterbury A&P 🏅
