💥 Fireworks can cause a lot of stress and anxiety for our darling dogs, but there are things we can do to help. Here’s some top tips to help keep them safe and calm:

✨ Walk your dog before it gets dark, make sure it’s a long walk so they are tired out.

✨ Make a safe space in a quiet room of the house with their bed, favourite toys, treats and plenty of water.

✨ Play music or put the TV on to help drown out the noise of any big bangs and close your curtains.

✨ Act calmly, dogs pick up on our emotions, so being calm and reassuring is really comforting.

✨ Make sure your dog is microchipped incase they do get scared and manage to escape.

✨ If your dog needs the loo late at night, consider popping them on a lead so they can’t run away.

✨ Be there for your dog, if they are scared, reassure them in a calm, positive, loving way.
