Norwest DTC are holding a summer champ show at our grounds on 15 & 16 February.
RallyO on Saturday and Obedience on Sunday.

Intro obedience classes will be held on Sunday.
$5, enter on the day.
Entries taken from 9am. Class will start once we have a ring available (not before 10am).

Please no spectator dogs.

Congratulations to Barb & Lou on their results at the Rotorua champ show held last weekend. 3 days of competition held next to the beautiful Lake Rerewhakaaitu. Definitely a favourite location for handlers and dogs!

Hi everyone....there has been an increase in the number of dogs being diagnosed with parvovirus in the Auckland area.
It is transmitted through exposure to contaminated faeces, bedding, water/food bowls, between dogs or even just on the ground. Parvovirus is a very hardy virus that can survive for years in the environment. Indirect transmission can also occur if a person who has been in contact with an infected dog pats your dog.

Symptoms may include:
• vomiting and diarrhoea, especially with blood in it
• Loss of appetite
• Fever and lethargy
• Weakness
• Dehydration

Any dog who has not been vaccinated (or if vaccinations are not up-to-date) can catch parvovirus, but puppies between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 months old are at the highest risk.

So just a reminder that if your dog is showing any signs of being unwell please contact your vet immediately (or an animal emergency service if it is out of hours).

Welcome back everyone!

Term 1 Obedience will start on Monday 10th February @ 7pm

We had planned to hold the fun night/prize-giving that was postponed in December on our first night back, but have decided to delay it until later in the term once everyone is back into the swing of things.

NOTE: new members will be sent an email closer to the date detailing instructions for your first night

We look forward to seeing your smiling faces and waggy tails! 😁🐕

POSTPONED! Fun night & Prizegiving - Mon 9th December

Due to the rain that is forecast to arrive later this evening we have made an early decision to postpone our fun night, BBQ and prizegiving tonight ☹

We don’t want to risk setting up for the games and BBQ then have the rain start and keep people away.

Heavy rain and thunder does not make training fun!

Do you have a ball crazy dog? Have you ever wondered what the sport of Flygility is all about? Flygility classes are held each Wednesday evening (weather permitting). Course set-up from 5.45pm, training starts at 6.00pm. Please contact the club if you are interested in taking part.
