What a great week we have had this week. Parker says thank you for all his birthday wishes for yesterday ☺️ he had a wonderful time out in his happy place, the forest. We ended the week today with a great walk with our friends from Cambridge Dog Walking 🥰
Just a reminder that Parker and I are off as of tomorrow, Friday 10th, housesitting for two very special Goldies and we are back on the 18th, 💕

It’s a very special day today at Golden Oaks. As it’s a Big Happy 5th Birthday to our special boy Parker 🥳
He has taught me so much and is always there. He’s a great best friend to, not only myself, but the goldens that come to visit, a calm, steady role model, an awesome adventure buddy and still very much my left hand boy 🥰 he will be spending his day out in his number one happy place, the forest 🌳🥰

Big Happy 3rd Birthday to this sweet boy, Benji 🥳 we love seeing you and your happy face when you come to stay. You have grown into a very sweet boy and it is a pleasure having you stay with us. Have a fantastic day, we will make sure it’s a good one for you and spoil you rotten too 🥰

A few days after Ruby we then said a sad goodbye to Miss Joeke 😢
I had the pleasure of knowing Joeke and her parents from 2016 when I was working as a vet nurse, she was a stoic, loving sweet girl who also loved her ball and was a bit of a jet setter when she came out from the UK to settle here with her family. In the last few years she has been coming for her pampers and some day stays too. Once out of the car and through the gate she knew the routine and would happily watch while I bathed her younger sister Mildred, with also a watchful eye scanning for the cats! Joeke you were such a gentle wee soul who loved your cuddles and you will forever be in our hearts.
RIP Joeke 11.9.12 - 21.12.24 💕

We wish to say a Very Merry Christmas and thank you to all our wonderful clients for trusting us with your Golden Babies for another fabulous year ☺️ we have had some great adventures with our Day dogs and also with our sleepover guests too.
Have a great time with family, friends and of course your golden ones and we look forward to another super year next year 🥰

You are a true adventure dog who loves heading out and exploring new places. We know you will have a fab day as once again we will be celebrating your special day with you. Sorry mum the diets out the window, as you will be spoilt rotten today🥰

What have I been up to these past six days??
Well there are now:
48 paws beautifully groomed
24 ears all thinned and tidy
12 tails brushed and trimmed
12 goldens all nice and clean ready for Santa 🎅
Yes 12 goldens in six days 😆
That completes my grooms for the year but will be back into in the New Year 🛁☺️

After a quiet weekend last weekend this weekend sure made up for it 😆 we had a full house and also had the start of a busy week of grooms. I am fully booked for grooms for this week with my last grooming day Saturday, my first day back grooming won’t be until Monday 20th January so get in touch if you would like a booking in the New Year ☺️

Our last day with Thursday kids for the year, was spent out at the arboretum today, along with sleepover boy Ollie ☺️ we were so super lucky that the rain stopped by the time we got there, even though we dressed for the rain before we left home 😆 but raincoats came off and away we went.

The Wednesday kids had a fantastic last day today out at Arapuni Landing ☺️ lots of swimming, digging in the sand and just chilling by the lake was had by all and they all made sure I got just as wet as they did 😆

Boy did we have a treat instore for the Tuesday kids today ☺️ when Carol asked if I wanted to go for a road trip to Papamoa how could I say No! So off we went and the Tuesday kids had an awesome time at the beach 🏖️ perfect way for them to spend their last day for the year 🥰
