Hello again! 👋 I’m excited to be back & working with my team after an amazing trip around the USA.

I’m taking this first week to get back into routine but definitely looking forward to the outside horses coming in for training soon! 🐴

⚠️ Just a heads up to my amazing clients up that due to my upcoming schedule, teaching lessons & riding my own competition team, I have limited training openings available for spring & summer.

With the last of my client horses now gone I am now leaving myself for a holiday overseas! ✈️

I’m so grateful to my clients for keeping me busy with my books full for the first half of the year 🙏

Looking forward to getting home & working with the next lot of horses arriving! Feeling very lucky. 🐴

There has been a lot happening here & I’ve been a bit too busy for keeping up on the socials! In exciting news, a wonderful home came up for Song & she heads off to her new family today 🥳

I have really enjoyed having this mare & loved working with her. She is a seriously talented little horse & I can’t wait to see how she goes with her new rider! 🏡

Nacho & Kea went home last week after a 5 week stay while their owner was overseas! Nacho made awesome progress - he learned lots & was very willing as I furthered his education under saddle. It was great to have him back after starting him last year!

I had so much fun bringing Kea into work - she is BIG at 17.2hh! Such a lovely gentle giant. Thanks so much to their owner for trusting me to look after these two - and for the treats all the way from the UK 🥰🩷

Song will make an awesome all rounder for someone! Day 1 with a rope on her & she was totally unphased. Roped the dummy like a pro ✔️ She’s learning the barrel pattern & thinks that’s pretty fun too 🤩

Recently measured at 13.3hh.

Reining bred, Song is agile, athletic and intelligent. She could excel in any western discipline, or make a great games, jumping or eventing pony!

Professionally started by Bryan Lowcay, Song has had a great foundation & has since been hacked out, been for river rides & had further education schooling. She has had regular outings in the float & travels well. She’s been introduced to the barrel pattern, had a rope swung off her & roped the dummy.

Song is a pleasure to have around, has fantastic ground manners & comes to be caught. She’s willing to please & has a trainable nature. She happily hacks out on a loose rein, she’s quiet & fine to lead. She’s safe and sensible to handle and ride.

Naturally forward moving, she has three balanced paces, a great stop & smooth back. Works happily on a loose rein or in a contact. She is light & responsive to aids & cues with a snaffle mouth.

A straightforward ride & level headed, she would be a fun pony for a junior or small adult to take on. Being young, she requires a soft, kind and confident rider who will encourage correctness to help her progress best.

Notes from her owner: Fine to float or truck, prefers she goes to a home with other horses, has been known to chew wood (I haven’t noticed this since she’s been here). No history of being grass affected & no history of health or soundness issues. Stands well when tied.

Up to date with farrier, dentist, worming & chiropractor.

4 yo QH mare Song has been coming along so well the last couple of weeks! She is so easy to have around & has a lovely demeanour. She is a very straightforward ride and has plenty of buttons! I’m excited to get her listing up and find her an amazing new home 🏡💕

Happy to be back on this spotty horse! Nacho came to me last year to be started, and now he’s back for some fitness & schooling 👏🏼

He’s been agisting the last couple weeks while his owner is overseas. His owner has been doing a great job with him & now it’s time to take his education a step further! 📚

Looking forward to working with him again over the next few weeks - he might even learn about barrels 🛢️👀

4 y.o. Song has had a busy first few days here! After passing her test ride with flying colours, she’s been for some rides around the property where she was perfectly behaved, we’ve done a bit of flatwork and she’s had a visit from the dentist! ☑️

She will get a once-over from the chiropractor early next week then she will have an up-to-date WOF. Loving working with this talented mare - she seems to have a great foundation, fantastic ground manners & she’s so easy to have around. 😍

You might have noticed there hasn’t been much Koda content recently. Not long after getting him going under saddle he started telling me something wasn’t right. After a vet work up, health issues were discovered deeming him unfit to continue starting.

I believe it’s my responsibility and part of my job to be aware & listen to the horse. It’s paramount to always do the right thing by them and what is in their best interest.

I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Koda & proud of the progress he made. A huge thank you goes to his owner for trusting me with him. 💛

Well just like that, the arrival of my most recent outside horses wraps up my winter bookings! ❄️

If you’re looking for a been there, done that horse who is safe & quiet, Rooster is your guy! Horses like this don’t come up very often. Described by his owner as a “pull out of the paddock & jump on” type of horse with “no lunging required”. Rooster is ready to find his new best friend to have fun with.

Rooster is a sweet, clever horse who is a total gentleman & eager to please. He is an easy keeper with great ground manners & is straightforward to handle. Easy to catch, ground ties to saddle. Up to date with dentist, farrier (front shoes on, fine barefoot), drenching & chiropractor.

He’s been a dream to bring back into work the last few weeks. He is great to ride on his own or with others. Rooster has three lovely, balanced paces & speed as well, if you want it. Hacks out on a loose rein in the walk, trot & canter, very soft & receptive to aids including voice with a great stop. He’s had quality training & he schools beautifully on the flat. He also leads other horses fine. Aside from a rare “feel good” kick if he gets excited in the lope, he has no dirt.

I’ve loped him through the barrels - he has a nice pattern on him. He was keen but perfectly behaved. I’ve also roped the dummy on him & he has experience roping lives.

He boasts an impressive resume, including:
✅ competing in rodeo - barrel racing & roping (heeling) - he’s very cowy
✅ mustering, cattle work, trekking, hacking
✅ doing cowboy challenge

Rooster will best suit a confident rider with a firm but fair hand. I’ve found him to be a very easy & fun horse to handle & ride but he can become excited & forward and he may test the waters with someone new so he is not suited to a nervous or beginner rider.

Look who’s back! Who remembers Nacho? Nacho & Kea are here for 5 weeks of agistment (with some fitness & schooling work later on) while their owner enjoys a holiday overseas 🥰

Nacho was here to be started last year so I’m really pleased I get to work with him again! Cant wait to climb onboard all 17.2hh of Kea - think I might need a step ladder 😆🪜

Rooster passed his test ride yesterday with flying colours! He was a perfect gentleman from start to finish - stood to be caught, ground tied to be saddled, he showed me his three lovely paces, smooth stop & great back. He has been beautifully schooled & even after time off, was soft off my aids.

Couldn’t fault him. What a dream horse! He’s made a fantastic first impression 🌟
