Available TO LEASE as a broodmare - has had 1 foal to fresh A.I with us after a short but successful ridden career. A truely beautiful mare who is incredibly easy to do everything with and was a fantastic mum. Would suit breeding for Performance or showring. Multi Champion and Supreme inhand across rings and Champion undersaddle. Pedigree is proven to the top of eventing on both Dam and Sire lines.

Can be kept on site here at Wembleybrook and put in foal to one of our stallions (Connemara or Warmblood) or put infoal to a stallion of your choosing. Or can be leased offsite to an approved home.

Im only a few months late but finally remembered to order photos (thanks to HOY Fomo) from the few shows we managed to make it to in this season 😅🙈 absolutely loved taking my two boys out..

Waltzmeister WSH our 3yr NZWA C**ts highlight was Champion Warmblood Youngstock at the Nz Ag Show against some great competition.

And Big Gus 'Traum von Gold WSH' had a very promising start to his competition career for some great miles undersaddle and placings/wides along the way. There was very mixed opinions on whether he should be in the Riding Horse or Saddle Hunters.. but the Dressage arena is were I see him ending up

Unfortunately our season was cut short due to me bopping my head on the float door 🤦‍♀️ BUT theres no rest for the wicked and with a new team of concussion specialists the future is looking good! Fingers crossed for a productive year ahead 🙏

Its a HAPPY FRIYAY here!!

So excited to have had my first ride back since Oct/Nov 2021 .. its been a long time coming but after everything I'm so glad to have reached this point in my recovery and to be able to finally start doing what makes me, me again. In true Courtney fashion (and without any other real options) I chose my big Gus Gus to kick us into gear.. Hes a big munter at atleast 17.2hh but has the best brain. Green broken by me prior to my Head Injuries hes forgotten nothing and after 2 days lounging I decided to just jump on 😅 he couldn't have made me more proud and was an absolute lad 🥰

Pictured below looking semi presentable after his bath yesterday thanks to the Heiniger ProGroom range from Heiniger Equine - Australia & New Zealand - Cleanse, Maintain and a spot of Whitening used on his tail 😉🦄 it was a definite improvement on the creature that started the week 🙈

Everything is sliding into place at the moment .. and the lastest excitement (well for me atleast 😅🙈) was the arrival of my Sparkling new Helmet from ARRO Helmets 😍

With starting back riding and needing an upgrade I was researching around to find the safest helmet that contained MIPS that I could .. which lead me to finding this gem - Designed in little old NZ even!! Made from Carbon Fibre and the only helmet on the market having both Mips and Snell safety rating amoungst many others.. looking after my noggin these days is an absolute priority for me so having these gives me more peace of mind. And not only is it Top of the line safe she is PRETTY and sooo Comfortable.

Huge thanks to Clare from Oro Equestrian for facilitating the purchase 🙌 buying a helmet without the ability to try it on first (No S.I retailers) was a gamble but having a refund option available on the off chance it didnt fit was 5star service 😀

Looking forward to more pics on a horse in the very near future.. watch this space!!

While it has been an interesting time here at Wembleybrook we have loved showing off the property and stock to visitors over the past few months, this and the below remind us why we do what we do 🥰

On the weekend we dropped Tolkien WSH off to his new home after a wee refresher on the basics - the horses have had minimal handling mostly just maintenance stuff since the shift. It was very heartening to grab him out of the mob and away from his buddies (some he has been with since a foal at foot) and bring him into the yard for a tidy up, rug and float lesson and have him act like he did this on the daily, not 1 ounce of separation anxiety. He is just another example of the fantastic nature that Traumprinz GF is leaving and proof that good basics installed young sets horses up with the tools needed to excell in the years to come, wherever their futures take them.

We wish him and his new owner all the best and can't wait to see him out on the event circuit when the time comes! 🤩

We thought it was time for a wee update and since its raining outside what better time than now 😅

We have been moving slowly on the new property whilst we got a good feel for it and where we are going to set up different area's.. it has been a lovely summer relaxing and watching everyone run free in their paddocks but excitingly (for me) we finally broke ground on the first set of working paddocks last week thanks to Mid Canterbury Fencing Ltd 🥳 1 step closer to getting back into a more normal routine now only a never ending list of jobs to go!!

We have a huge season ahead planned with a very exciting selection of young horses to produce both for myself and the public so I can't wait to start posting to the page on a more regular basis with what we are upto - we have been quiet for too long and although im still needing to be careful with my head my holiday is over.. however I am not going to have time for all of the boys that will need to find new homes so nows the chance to get in before anyone else, there is limited stock. I will update the sale folder over the next wee bit with those that are available or look out for their ads when their time comes.

Well it happened and for those that we haven't quite managed to catch up with since - we apologize.. the last few Months have been absolute chaos but we SOLD, PURCHASED and somehow survived the MOVE!! 😅😱

Wembleybrook Sport Horses is now located at 614 Winslow Road, Hinds/ Ashburton 🥳

We were lucky enough to find ourselves a lovely property with just over 100 acres 10 minutes out of town.. theres a bit of work to do to make her the horse property of our dreams but were excited to develop it over the next few years!

Since shifting we have welcomed our first first birth to the property, rescued a baby Hedgehog 😅 and are attempting to unpack and rejuvenate some energy.

Massive thanks to everyone who came and helped at different points with the shift - it would not have been possible without you all and we are eternally greatful ❤

Courtney here - as alot of you know my health has been a bit of a struggle the last year and a bit with ongoing concussion related problems that have been largely impacting life and what I have been able to do and not do.. unfortunately another set back at Easter (standing up under a stable door 🤦‍♀️) left me with yet another and I've been up to not much more than a dark room and my bed since - just starting to get up and moving quietly and do a few more basic daily activities now which is a relief!

So with that in mind we are making a few decisions to keep life moving forward in a positive manor.. 1st step has been sending 'Wembleybrook By Design' to Sophie at SSG Equestrian to bring back into work and sell on our behalf. Its high time he gets back out doing what he loves and very sadly for me I can't commit to doing it in the near future .. more updates will be available on Sophies page shortly I believe 😁

We also have a small selection of unbroken stock available upto 4yrs old including a selection of Traumprinz GF's progeny - these are available to genuine homes who will do them justice 16.3hh + Bay tobiano geldings anyone?? As well as some of our rising 2 and 3yr olds 😊 (not all are funky colours for the purists out there!)

Stan Mullen finished his first complete season competing in the WCB as our runner up to the National Champion and earned a spot on the WCB Horseshoeing Team. We are very proud of this young man and are excited to see where this journey takes him! Well done Stan!

Just wanted to give a wee shout out to this hard working kiddo who started having lessons with me 2 yrs ago.. it has been a pleasure to watch you mature and develop as a rider and now as a not so lippy 13 yr old 😅🤣 She's just gone Back to Back Champion Junior Rider at consecutive A&P Show's on two different mounts no less against riders upto 17yrs old which is no mean feat, proving hard work pays off - so proud of you Em!! 🥳🦄❤
.and on side note because my head is not enjoying the fun of riding again currently, availability for lessons has opened up !!
If you would like a lesson for yourself or child coaching is available for all fields from flat work (rider class is a specialty), Jumping Xc and Sj (competed to old 1star level and trained many young horses and ponies), inhand and even turn out please enquire. Half days etc also a possibility for different areas if theres enough interest 😊

Last night at the very Civil time of 9pm dear old Jess welcomed to the world a lovely long legged filly - and what a delightful package. We cant wait to see how she grows and develops, at 20 this maybe one of Jess's last foals and we are very greatful thats its another filly (full sib to Tacori WSH from the 2019 season)🥰
