Andy has started his jumping journey 🥳

Looks like he might have convinced his mum he’s worth holding onto by the look of those knees!

We kept it pretty short and basic as jumping is all about having fun at this stage, but our final fence definitely wasn’t small!

Finally got my hands on a Pivo!! This awesome bit of tech records and tracks while you ride, removing the need for a second pair of hands to capture quality videos!

Me and technology are not friends so it’s taking me a few rides to get the hang of it… A missed a phone call meant I only recorded the first 10mins of my test ride 🤦‍♀️. I was guttered as Nero worked fantastic this day! Not the most exciting video in the world but you get the gist.

Having a Pivo is going to make sale videos and client updates soooo much easier! So you’ll be seeing a lot more of me on here 🥳

Update on my coaching prices!

Having regular lessons is THE BEST way to improve your riding and achieve those much desired results!

My approach is confidence based and focused on establishing the basics correctly to giving riders a strong foundation. This gives riders the ability to build from what they learn in their own time.

I’m being a bit stricter on myself this year and introducing a cancellation policy. From this month onwards cancellations must be within 24 hours otherwise 50% of the lesson fee will still be charged. I usually love being as flexible as possible but with a baby my time is a lot more limited!

First new service is Pony Bootcamp!

Are you or your child wanting to step up the next level but unsure on how to get there? Then this is for you!

As a coach there’s only so much we can see from the ground and sometimes getting your bum in the saddle is the only way to tell what’s really going on! After having success with some of my pupils and their ponies I’ve decided to offer a bootcamp service. We will work together to try and bridge the gap and propel you forward in your chosen discipline!

Whether it’s an old schoolmaster needing some help dusting off the cobwebs or a greenie needing to start from scratch, I’m here to help and get you guys started!

Each package can be tailored to each horse, rider and budget so please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or queries!

Last ride on Nigel 💔

The perfect home finally came along for my beautiful boy. He’s settled into his new 5* accommodation and is very much spoilt by his new owner. I don’t think he’s even missed home 😂

I’ve never been more indecisive about selling a horse than I was with Nigel but it was time and it is part of the job! Thank you for being my go to horse on the crappy days Nigel! I will miss our nanna rides around the farm but it’s time to but my big girls pants on and get eventing again!

Also thank you to for High Line Transport for taking such good care of my boy during his travels. Paula was incredibly patient, letting Nigel suss out the new float before loading and he arrived on time and stress free! 🙌

First show with a baby ✅

Nigel was Mr perfect at Horowhenua Dressage a few weeks ago, finishing in the top 10 in both tests. We aren’t the fittest so we lost a few marks here and there but nothing to be overly mad about considering he’s only just coming back into the full swing of things. I’ve taken a few notes on what to improve on over the next few weeks; onwards and upwards from here!

With our first show under our belt I’ve decided to open my books back up for coaching 🙌. Winter is the perfect time to focus on those goals for next season. Spaces are much more limited due to mum life so PM me ASAP to book your spot!

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

The time has come to decide what to do with my lovely boy Nigel. He has been an absolute dream to bring back into work, helping this recovering mama build some confidence and strength back. But unfortunately I just don’t have the time for 4 horses and a baby so it’s time for Nigel to find his person.

⭐️Easy going and straightforward to ride.

⭐️Is the definition of lazy, very much preferring life on the slow side but has a great work ethic and can still pull the flash stuff out for those extra dressage marks if asked.

⭐️Beautiful to ride on the flat and brave to jump.

⭐️SH and SJ to 90cm.

⭐️Evened at pretraining level.

⭐️Many placing in the Pleasure Horse showing ring. Have been told by some judges that you couldn’t buy better and could be a serious HOY contender with some focus.

⭐️ Loves to hack, can be in the front or back. Also great to lead ponies off. Doesn’t mind having the little ones run up his bum so would be great for a mum who’s looking for something to take out with the kids!

I’m completely aware of how dead the market is at the moment so I am open to offers and maybe some creative thinking for the right person. Home is the only thing I will not compromise on!

The ponies are very interested in the new mini me I’ve been bringing with me to check on them each morning 😂

They’ve all had no rugs and barefoot for the last 6ish months so it’s going to be a journey bringing them all back to competition fitness, but I can’t wait!!

I’ll be bringing you all along with me so keep a eye out over the next few weeks for updates and maybe a few tips on how to safely bring your ponies back into work after a long break.

First thing on the list is haircuts..🤦‍♀️ and a visit from the farrier next week! 🎉
