Shows starting up again after the winter
Tararua Tests at the weekend, Zente had a win and a second in Test B, and a 1st in the Rally-O ribbon trial in Advanced A on 100

Our Beginners training buddies had some great rounds, with Lynley winning Beginners on Saturday wth P**i and getting 2nd with Flame, then ran off between her own dogs for a 4th and a 5th on Sunday. Sandy with Halo did great work for a 3rd on Sunday, Vera & Quita only just missed out

At the Benefit Show Rhythm gained 3 x double Rally-O qualifications - all on 100 - with 4 x 1st 2 x 2nd, but more importantly they were the qualifications she needed for
RALLY-O GRAND CHAMPION,
plus she got an Obedience Challenge

Great weekend for the girls.
At Taupo with 40 dogs entered in Test C Pryde came first on 298/300, then on the second day she was 2nd on 297/300😁😁
Zente came first in Test A1 on 124/125, then 2 x 3rd in Test A2&3
Meanwhile Rhythm was doing the scentwork trial at Feilding (with the lovely Deidre) and got 4/5 searches, the 5th she was in the right place just not quite defined enough.
Also placing at Taupo were Trish and Elke a fifth in novice, Sue Slinn & Tico 2 x 5th in Beginners, and training buddies Lyn with Pip 2nd Beginners 1&3, 3rd Beginners2, with Flame 2 x 4th in Beginners

Feilding Obedience and Hawkes Bay RallyO this weekend.
Pryde was an absolute STAR - 3 Test C's with 25+ in each and she ran off for first in all 3! Winning one and gaining 2nd in the other two, for 3CC's, (that's 7 so far this year!! ) She also gained 100% in all 5 of her Rally-O classes.
Her daughter Zente was in two Test A's for a win and a 2nd.
Rhythm did some good work but not putting it all together again yet after the puppies, got 292 in Test C today just out of the placings, qualified in 4/5 Rally-O classes with two wins.
Katrina and Crew had a win and 2 2nds in Test B.
Training buddies Lyn and Pip placed in two Beginners, and Vera and Quita 5th in Beginners today
Suzie & Magic and Deirdre and Skye qualified in Rally-O

Horowhenua Show this weekend, highlight was how well the Beginners & Novice Sarelle dogs and their training buddies did

Great weekend for Sarelle at Kapiti obedience tests
Pryde winning Test C both days on very good points.
Zente doing some lovely work in Test A for a 4th and a 5th.
Rhythm still has puppy brain but managed a 4th in C today

Today was the Horowhenua Kennel Assn Ribbon Parade. I was there helping out so decided I may as well enter the visiting dog - Kruger. He is one of Pryde's from her last litter - the 'A' litter. Never had any show training nor been taught to stand properly - but he excelled himself and ended up taking Best on Parade at one of the shows.
In the other show he was beaten by his litter sister - Grace- who went on to win Best of Group, Best Junior of Group and Best Junior on Parade

Pryde and Rhythm have had a good couple of last show weekends - Upper Hutt and Taupo.
Pryde has had a win and a second in Test C plus qualified with 100% in 7/8 Rally-O Advanced an Excellent classes.
Rhythm has had two Test C placings plus qualified with 100% in 8/8 Rally-O classes and they have split the wins between them.

National Dog Training Assembly in Levin this weekend. Very busy weekend for me but managed to fit in some competition with my dogs.
Pryde gained her last two qualifying certificates to make her a Rally O Grand Champion. It was two years ago at this time when she gained her Obedience Grand Champion so she knows the show to do it at!!
She qualified in 4 of her Rally O events for 3x 2nd, and 1 x 4th. She finished just out of the placings in her first Test C , but achieved a 5th today.
Zente had a 2nd in Novice today on 99.5, and a 7th on Saturday. A broken stay cost her a place on Sunday
Other Sarelle dogs - Ash and Kevin had a win in test B, Trish and Elke placed in Novice, Deirdre and Skye placed in Novice A Rally-O, as did Suzie and Magic in Advance A. Katrina and Crew placed in Test A on the only day they were able to compete, and Heather and Trendy placed in Test B. (Hope I haven't forgotten anyone!!) It was a very busy weekend

Zente would have been reserve Obedience Novice, but as I am already in the obedience team with her mother Pryde she cannot be in also.

Tararua Tests last weekend Rhythm 2 x 3rd in Test C, Pryde had lovely round Saturday but sadly missed scent. But she was 4th in C Sunday.
Zente had training rounds both days to make sure she can still enter Novice in the competition at NDTA

I am selling my trusty ute.
Its a 2015 Nissan Navara STX 4WD manual, done 162,000km. I have owned it from new, its a great reliable vehicle, only reason I have changed is because I have a knee problem and am finding using the clutch too hard on me.
One of the great features about it is that the rear seats fold up to give an almost flat floor which gives so much storage, or room for several dogs!!! The seats in the back are a two seat and a single seat.
No crates in the back as they have been taken out but does have sliding windows with grills over them.
It has leather seats which are heated - great in winter!
Has a couple of small marks on the body - scratches on front bumper(can be seen in the photo) and a slight dent in the back, otherwise body is all good. It has a new WOF, just been registered, and a new battery. Has a good numbers of RUC kms on it still.

We had to say goodbye to Jarrah today.
OB Ch & RO CH Jarrah Jae of Sarelle CDXG UDX RAE2 CGCG
She was the mother of my P litter - Pryde, Paighan, Piper, Phinn, Lola, Stormy - her only litter but they have done so well.
Jarrah was living with my friend Gaye as a companion.
She had what seemed to be a cut on her nose that was bleeding slightly and wouldn't stop, however it turned out she has severe internal bleeding throughout, so we had to say goodbye

Colby on Saturday won BOB, Best NZ of Group and Reserve Best of Group

Had a funny thing happen last night. Was walking the dogs down the drive about 10pm for their last toilet stop and they were up ahead of me, when a rabbit came running down the drive towards me, it made a leap just as it got to me and hit me head on, on the knee. It fell back twitching, where upon the dogs arrived back and end of rabbit.
Seemed so funny that it didn't see or smell me? Maybe it had a death wish

Had a good couple of weekends with my dogs.
Taupo was Zentes turn to shine, she won 2 x Novice and a 3rd
Pryde had a 2nd in Test C on 295.5, and a 5th on 293
Rhythm (just slightly out of rhythm at the moment) a 3rd on 293.5
Napier was Prydes turn on Saturday - 1st Test C 297.5, 1st Rally-O Excellent on 100, 1st Rally-O Advanced B on 100
Rhythm 4th Sunday Test C, 2 x 100 in her Rally-O classes Excellent B and Advanced B
Zente got a bit put off heeling too close to the judge- achieved a 5th.

Zente, following on from achieving her Foundation & Bronze last weekend, today achieved Silver & Gold. She is 13 months and 1 day old, so a great achievement for a young dog

Rhythm had her first try at a scentwork competition over the weekend. A SSANZ trial and she qualified both days achieving all of the 8 searches for her SSANZ Novice Nosework title.
So within the last two months she has gained her Breed Champion and Rally-O Champion titles and now a scentwork qualification

Great weekend for Sarelle dogs and their training buddies at Horowhenua Obedience and Rally-O Show
Rhythm got her final two qualifying certificates to gain her RALLY-O CHAMPION title, making her now a triple Champion

Over the weekend she had a win in Excellent B, Qualified in both Advanced Bs with a 2nd and 3rd, a 3rd and a 5th in test C

Pryde had 3 out of 4 qualifing rounds in Rally-O for two 2nds and a third, and two 4th in Test C
Prydes daughter Cyro (with Katrina) had a 2nd in Test B, her grandson Crew had a 2nd in Test A.
Axel (and Michael) had a 5th in Test B
Magic (and Suzie) had two qualifying Advanced A rounds for a 2nd and a 3rd

Zente has just started competing in obedience - three shows, three places. She is improving each time she goes out - today it was a 4th (after a run off for 3rd). She is only 10 months old.
