We all know an equestrian who keeps a whole lot of random horse stuff in their car, and I felt like it was time to share these beautiful pieces of our culture with the world. This is Vince’s car - it features +R training tools, yesterday’s lunch, an apparently road legal baling twine hack, and definitely (probably) no rats (anymore. RIP to the previous rat resident.)

A little disclaimer that even when customers say its okay to include Seconds items in mystery boxes, I still don’t usually do it, mostly because the chances of me having the right size/shape/colour in stock in the Seconds collection is pretty unlikely! In this case though I knew that I had these perfectly imperfect hunter green suede saddle pads and by including one I was able to stretch the budget a bit further. Ussually they would be 99NZD for a suede pad which is half the budget of the box gone already (though I always include a little bit more than the value of the box anyway), but because they will be discounted to 75NZD it gave me a bit extra room to go crazy with the matchy matchy accessories.You can shop mystery boxes for different budgets at punkponies.com

We hope to be back at HOY one day, maybe even next year, but we need to find a big South Island event to replace Equifest South Island (we will still be attending Equifest in Taupō every year!) and unfortunately we haven’t been able to find anything as good as Wānaka yet.
