These little grey tabby boys have been living under a house with their mum.

My coworkers have dubbed them Sweden and Egypt (apparently it's a countries theme this week). If you'd like to save them from their new names or alternatively ensure that they continue to be called Sweden and Egypt until they're adopted you can sponsor them.

Sponsorship is $50 per kitten. All funds raised go towards the costs associated with the kittens currently in our care. To sponsor a kitten simply comment on their photo and transfer the funds to our bank account ( S Irons 01 0530 0189007 51). Names will be confirmed once the funds have been received.

Welcome Tippy a little black and white girl around 8 weeks old.
Poor little girl was found near Seaview refuse transfer station and is skin and bone.
None of these kittens are particularly fond of people just yet but with a bit of love and time they'll get the idea that people are OK

I've heard it said that being in cat rescue is much like being in the mafia.... once you're in there's no getting out. Friends also become family.

After a year long break the temptation to help has gotten the better of me. Despite stepping away at many different times previously life just isn't the same without rescue cats in it. This is my purpose and what I could quite happily spend the rest my life to doing (if it paid the bills)

On that note For the Love of Cats Rescue is back....sorta

We'll be operating at a reduced scale and not currently as a registered charity although we will still be pursuing our original charitable purpose. Requests for help will be reviewed individually as they are recieved. Myself and a small network of fosterers will take care of the cats and kittens. All cats/kittens will be desexed, microchipped, and vaccinated before going up for adoption to find their forever home.

These are some of the first kittens back in our care. 2 boys that were trapped hanging around a doggy day care and a little girl who had been under someone's house. They're all a bit spicy but with time will grow onto lovely friendly cats. They'll be looking for homes towards the end of February.

Wish us luck for round 2 :) it's a pleasure to be back in the game but always a little bit nerve-wracking too - Sam
