Last night was time to say goodbye to Arnott, at 2yr 7m his old age caught up to him. He was still eating and drinking but he was a skinny boy whose quality of life just wasn’t there.
We got Arnott with his twin brother Griffin as rescues from the Mouse House (we aren’t associated with them). They were kept in a very small cage that I would even recommend for anything other than a mouse travel cage. We were told they were aggressive and had trauma. Griffin had the head tilt and Arnott was a grumpy boy with half a tail.
These boys were the total opposite once shown love and they interacted with other rats. These boys have been with us since we have had Cook, Bug, Sprout, Otis, etc. We got them just after Arlo passed away.
These boys filled the attitude that Arlo left. Now Arnott gets to see his brother and all of his other friends that have passed on. We’re so happy that we rescued those two grumpy boys.
We will forever miss Arnott’s stink eyes, nibbles and full attitude. CJ is missing him already like crazy. With Remy passing and leaving Prince and now Arnott passing leaving CJ, we have a lot of work to do.
Love and miss you forever Mr Farnott, Arnetto, Arnie, Arnott Farnott, grumpy old man.
