Time to make acknowledgements for what was a great (but exhausting) weekend.
Firstly – THANK YOU EXHIBITORS! You might have been smaller in numbers but you were big in quality and we loved having you!
Secondly – THANK YOU COMMITTEE! I know one shouldn’t single out individuals, so I won’t, but can I just say that I was so pleased how everyone stepped up and shared the load on show days. But there are some other people who are not on the Committee who need to be acknowledged too – Gwen Hindmarsh – raffle ticket seller extraordinaire; Tony Fox who again made us all smirk with his risque comments while spinning the Chocolate Wheel and Amanda Calman who was an absolute brick and spent two days with Kaz marking out the grounds and gazebo area and labelling all the prize product. To Anne Deery who is invaluable arranging all the Stewards for us and thank you also to the Stewards. Then there was Joy Turner... well do we know what Joy did? 😂 Thank you so much!
Thirdly – THANK YOU JUDGES! We are so sorry that Steph Rickard couldn’t make it, but so grateful to Shelley Walker for stepping in at such short notice. You were a lovely panel and so easy to work with.
Fourthly – THANK YOU SPONSORS! Without you, we couldn’t do it! Thank you Miranda Stevens at ProPlan your generosity is amazing. Thank you Richard King at Pet N Sur and how lovely it was to see you at the show. Thank you New World Rangiora, Peter Timbs Meats and Norma Shelley. We really are grateful and we hope we fulfilled your expectations.
Next year we will have to make some changes as the entries do not sustain the expenditure we make to put on our shows. During the upcoming year the Committee will discuss and toss around ideas of changes we can make so that we can still give you top class shows but with reduced expenditure.
