Our Story
My name is Andrea Tansey I founded Melka Boarding kennels in the Far North over 20 years ago. We had years of enjoyment meeting many fur kids and their families in the Far North, we had boarders from as far away as Wellington, flying their dogs up to stay with us.
We have had a change of scenery and a change of name we are now based in beautiful Mangawhai, we offer exclusive home stays for dogs. We operate on a very small scale so each guest can be spoiled rotten. Lots of cuddles, running around and swimming. If you pick Melka’s Pooch Paradise for your fur kids to stay you know they will be having fun.
We also offer Pooch Express to pick up and drop off, giving you time to get organized for your own holiday. Dogs just love being picked up in the van as they know they are going on holidays.
The Melka Team look forward to meeting all our new families at our new property. We also look forward to seeing some of the old faces back from the Far North.
