Small black lace and black ghost angels are in store this week. $12 each, approximately 3cm nose to tail.

For those who are interested in angelfish genetics, they are heterozygous for Philippine blue gene. Both parents are pearlscale carriers. So some of these could develop pearlscale when they are older.

We went scooping in our IBC last night.
Caught some adult size emerald dwarf rasbora, an ember tetra and possibly a lemon tetra fry!

One fish look suspiciously like a Norman's lamp eye. We have not had Norman's lamp eye in store before. 🤔

Either it's a blue eye rainbow or an egg hitched a ride in somehow.

A while back I decided to grow some moss on rounder rocks instead of flat ones.

I made 3 of these moss balls that are about the size of a tennis ball. It has more height than the moss rocks I've been selling.

It took a lot longer to grow in than standard moss rocks. Therefore, I've priced them at $35 each.

What do you guys think of the moss ball? Should I make more of them?

We have an angel pair available. Female looks to be D/gm, bg/bg, pb/+, p/p Male should be D/D, bg/bg, pb/pb and possibly p/+ Normally we don't keep angels with bent dorsal fin. However this female has a rather interesting genetic combination, so she stayed in the grow out tanks. We expect a number of different types of babies from their spawn. Including bulgarian green seal point, bulgarian seal point, dark bulgarian seal point, dark bulgarian green seal point. All of them will be carriers of pearlscale and some may be pearlscale. The biggest question is whether all of the babies will have bend dorsal fin. The short answer is I don't believe so. A proportion of the fry may develop bent dorsal fin but should not be all of them. Environmental factors play a huge part in the fin development. You are welcome to message us to discuss if you'd like to know more. Pick up by arrangement from Howick. We can ship.

Just noticed these two smiling acara being extra aggressive towards their tank mates this morning. Turns out they have good reason to be. 😆 They shall have the tank to themselves. Let's see if the eggs hatch over the next few days.
