His latest party trick! Just love this little guy 💕

I teach my dogs a lot of different tricks. I do this to help them become confident learners which makes it a lot easier to teach more complex stuff later. It’s also lots of fun 😀

Didn’t take him long to work out that to activate me to come to him with the treat he needed to make the board bang by moving to each end of it. Love watching him work out these little puzzles - clever boy Rio 💕

Recalls out in the big paddock with the big dogs for distraction. We have done lots of work on a long line prior to doing it off lead and tons of recall games. He recalls really well even with other stuff going on around him and checks in regularly. Happy with this young fella’s progress.

This always cracks me up. Love how this little bombproof baby sleeps through this. Must burn a lot of dinners and he’s become accustomed to it 😂

Rio’s back up to his plank. Learning so many skills in this exercise!

13 week old Rio doing a ‘chin rest’ with a food distraction. He doesn’t take his chin off my hand even when the hand with food in it is lowered beside him.

Out of sight stays at Saturday training. Sensibly, the handlers with dogs who are newer to stays stayed in sight.

I put this up for my Puppy course Stage 2. A few of you were asking last night about how to get your puppy to bring stuff back to you and I was telling you about how I use the chin rest exercise to help with this. This is the video I said I’d put up for you 😀

Our first Test A run. Not perfect by any means but am overall pretty happy with this wee girls rounds this weekend. She has only been in the ring once before so she handled the environment really well, (Better than her mother 😂). More work to do before Nationals but was a good day out and lovely to see some familiar faces. Thanks Jenny and Gareth for having us to stay in your beautiful home. Really loved our evening of platters and entertainment xo
