I love seeing my ponies being stars! Here is TF Small Torque (Bramble) and his new rider, Frankie, being stars at their very first ODE (I believe this was also Frankie's first crack at eventing!) - Smashed out a fantastic dressage test (73.16%) to lead after dressage. Clear SJ and clear jumping XC but a few time faults slipped them down a few places to 5th. What a great effort! And definitely a partnership to watch for the future :)

Used to spend hours in rain and cold taking photos of others doing this so supported one of the 2 photographers at the comp by purchasing some pro pix! How cute is my pony??!!!

We did it! All goals achieved and lots of homework set. 65.2% in 1A and 64.375% in 1C so pretty consistent. Rider is a muppet, so some piloting errors and I'm struggling to get the rhythm quite right (and must stop fiddling with my hands and fussing/kick kick kicking) because it really doesn't help! But pony was very good (even if he did contemplate exiting at A in the first canter because I was asleep). Bring on day 2!

6th/16 Test 1 and 8th/16 in Test 2 so midfield or better (which was my other goal) achieved - Really really happy!

Need to pick a couple of pro shots but most of those seem to be of our halts, lol, so for now, here are eleventy million grainy video stills...

Tried my best to go to bed early (just before 10pm, so not too bad). Tried my best to get to sleep (took a pill). Tried my best to stay asleep (woke up at 4am). Off to catch my pony and plait up in the dark now. I know it's only a pony club show, not registered, not the Olympics but it feels a bit like MY Olympics right now. Competing Brennan is a bucket list moment so I'm off to ride it like I stole it 😃 Breathe, relax, smile, have fun.

Havanna/brown 17.5" Bates Tinks flatseat jump saddle. Easy change gullet, currently fitted with an XW. Cair and all panels inflated - easy for a saddler to convert to wool flocked if you want. It's in good condition, a few scratches here and there but very sound. Great for a rider that is long from hip to knee. Only for sale as the horse is retired from jumping and it doesn't fit my pony.
