It's been a tough year. And unfortunately, these things happen 🤦‍♀️

We were off to a great and late start with the season, and then illness struck again. After a bad run with 4 different illnesses back to back. My immune system has decided not to function properly.

Currently, I am not able to ride, BUT I am still available for lessons at our property from next Wednesday.

We are taking bookings for the lead up to Christmas, and yes, this does involve weekends 🙌

I will update when we are able to take schoolers again, and hopefully, it will not be long! PM to book in for lessons

Thank you to everyone who came to Jump club today! It was a fantastic day, and great to see many new faces. Everyone rode very well and an enormous thank you to everyone who helped with poles and raising the fences.

We love running jump clubs and it couldn't be possible without the amazing team at Solway Showgrounds Masterton A&P.

Chiarra SW is a rising 5yo WB mare by JHT Chemistry (Connoisseur) and out of KP Jadira (JT Jake). Carra will be coming onto the market shortly and will excel in dressage and clearly as a jumper!

✨️JUMP CLUB 17 NOVEMBER MASTERTON A&P SOLWAY SHOWGROUNDS ✨️

Jump club is just around the corner, and registrations are open now!

These are fantastic low key training days and a fabulous environment to get those green horses out, adult riders who want to have a play over a course, kids who want to get some experience in an encouraging environment or those who just want to come out and have fun!

Starting with poles on the ground, the course will increase in height as needed over the day.

Lessons on the day focus on a structured warm-up and assistance over the course.

Registering is easy. Just give us a PM or an email. We'll send you the payment details and answer any questions you may have, and that's it!

Unbelievably proud of this mare and how far she has come. As anybody who knows Flute, they know she is not easy. She struggled to focus, relax, and became so overwhelmed that she could not concentrate.

We went right back to basics, worked to build a solid foundation, and consider her what outings we took her to build up her confidence.

While it's not perfect, she has started to settle, focus, and show the scope we know she has. It will be a long journey, but a worthwhile one.

Flute tried exceptionally hard around the 110cm and made it look very small 😅 I have no doubt that this mare has an incredibly exciting future and one we are prepared to work towards.

Remember, some horses need time and extra consideration when producing them. 🦄🦄

✨️Jump Club is back on the 17th November! 9.30am start and held at Masterton A&P Solway Showgrounds.

✨️These are fantastic days to get in some practice over a full course.

✨️Ideal for young horses who need some low key outings or riders just wanting to get out and practice.

✨️Everyone is welcome, and with heights starting with poles on the ground going up as required. There is something for everyone.

✨️Lessons are available on the day but these must be prebooked.

Smiles all round with Starlight Django being the best boy! Jumped a tidy clear in the 120cm for 5th and then a lovely double clear for 4th in the 130cm.

Just the one horse today and then back with the three for day 2 of Wairarapa Show Jumping Labour weekend championships.

A very fast turnaround of Shows and tomorrow we're off to our stunning home grounds of Solway Showgrounds Masterton A&P.

A hot couple of days up at Hawkesbay A&P show with Starlight Django, Nico Robin, and Kiwi Flute. However, we elected not to start Kiwi Flute as she was rather overwhelmed by all the activities so she enjoyed being hacked around the grounds.

Starlight Django jumped like a trooper with his rusty rider 😅 and Nico Robin enjoyed a skip around some smaller fences while she's still rather unfit.

A super enjoyable show and will definitely put this on the calendar for next year! Now off to a wedding before Wairarapa Labour weekend show tomorrow.

Horses all settled in for the night here at Hawkes Bay A&P show.

Our horses dressed head to toe in the team is wearing the PVC headcollars (well used as we've had them for quite a while now 😁), the way canvas sheet, bandages and pillow wraps. Happy horses and ready to go tomorrow!

Kiwi Flute looked absolutely stunning at -wairarapa show this past weekend. Putting her big girl pants on and even beginning to relax throughout her tests. Very pleased with her progress so far. A long road but a enjoyable journey.

Dressed head to toe in I'm wearing the way breeches, compression socks, white competition shirt and the stunning competition jacket. Kiwi Flute is wearing the very stylish white saddle blanket.
