Kilmarnock is a purpose built equine facility supporting Wexford Stables, it is situated just 2km from Matamata, New Zealand’s most famed Thoroughbred Racing town. The property boosts

• 28 Boxes
• 10 horse Magnum Walker
• 750m Sand Track
• Barrier Stall
• Round Yard
• 20 Spelling Paddocks

Our exp

erience, expertise and eye for detail, ensures each horse is given an appropriate individual plan through the pretraining stage of its preparation, allowing every opportunity for success when race day arrives. Our main goal with pre-training is to develop a horse’s fitness base prior to their return to Wexford Stables to commence a racing campaign.

AL AZHAR impressed today with a win at her first trial outing. Kilmarnock have taken a racing share for our team who all now have a share in this filly. Kilmarnock Racing Partnership will race her with Jasmine Casey and she will proudly sport Jasmine’s father’s golden Valachi colours. She’s a special filly and we can’t wait until race day . History has been made with the first-ever slot announced today by Waikato Stud. We’re thrilled to be partnering with the team at Waikato in the Southern Hemisphere’s richest three-year-old race with the quality SOUGHT AFTER (known to those closest to him as ‘Bruce’).

With Wexford also owning a slot, we’re beyond excited to already have two starters guaranteed for the inaugural running of this race.

Two Kilmarnock runners that we couldn’t forget to mention today . Ellen Osborne & Shannon MacDonald set off early this morning to compete in the Rotorua 1/2 Marathon. Both girls finished with fantastic times 1.57.05 & 1.59.05 respectively. Well done - big effort 💥.
