Fibor: Advanced Digestive Support for Pets

· Fibor is an innovative digestive support supplement for dogs and cats, featuring a unique kiwi fruit concentrate and six additional fibre sources. Designed to tackle various digestive issues, Fibor addresses problems such as loose or hard stools, infrequent bowel movements, fibre-responsive colitis, megacolon, and poor a**l gland health.

· The supplement enhances gut motility and aids protein digestion while promoting beneficial gut bacteria and inhibiting harmful ones. Fibor’s fibre content not only helps regulate bowel movements but also assists in the natural expression of a**l glands, thereby improving overall health.

· By absorbing water and increasing f***l bulk, Fibor can alleviate symptoms of chronic fibre-responsive colitis in pets, with studies showing a 95% improvement rate. Additionally, its soluble fibre softens constipation, while insoluble fibre promotes colon distension, stimulating healthy motility.

· Fibor stands out as a comprehensive solution for pet digestive health, combining multiple fibre sources to support a happy, healthy gut.

🌼🌼🌼Farewell Josh 🌼🌼🌼
It has come time for us to say goodbye to Vet Josh, who's final day is this week.
Josh has been a well valued member of the team over the last 5 months and will be very missed by both staff and our clients.
We wish Josh all the best with his future travel adventures around New Zealand.

Check out these two gorgeous girls!

After watching the Xmas parade in early December Annie and Pearl popped in to visit us and waited patiently to receive their free gifts that were offered on the day.

It's a great idea to bring dogs' into the clinic simply just for a visit, a treat, and to receive some special attention from our staff. This can help relax your pet and create positive reinforcement for them to ensure they feel calmer, happier (and some even excited) at other future vet visits with us.

🧸Maternity Leave 🧸

We would like to take the opportunity to let you know that Vet Sarah (pictured with the gorgeous Rosie) is going on maternity leave at the end of the month. We would like to wish her and Max all the best for baby number two. We will all (including clients) miss Sarah greatly while she is away on maternity leave.
We wish them all the best and can’t wait for some newborn cuddles soon.

🎉🎉🎉Congratulations to Nurse Toni and family on the arrival of their beautiful daughter. 🍼🍼🍼
Toni has been in to the clinic to visit us this month and introduced us all to wee Lucy, who was born last month. Both are doing well and big sister Amelia is being very helpful. We all love having cuddles with Lucy when they pop in.

With New Years coming quickly here is a reminder on how to prepare your pets for any fireworks.
We recommend starting products such as Calmex, Feliway and Adaptil three days before the event.

We all know how hot the concrete can get while walking bare foot during the summer, but have we thought about our pooches feet? This can be a common issue we forget about as we pop on our shoes and go for a summers day walk.

Did you know that in summer the concrete can reach up to 70 degrees! At this temperature even a minute on the concrete can be too long.

How do I know if my dogs feet are burnt? Symptoms can include..
Licking or chewing on paw pads
Limping or limited mobility
Vocalizing (whining or whimpering)
Cracking or peeling of the pad
Redness, inflammation, blisters, or bleeding from the paw pad.

How can you prevent this?
If wanting to take your pooch on a summer day walk - try the 7 second rule first, Place the back of your hand on the ground and if you cant leave it there for 7 seconds then it is too hot to walk on.
Walk your dog through grassy areas.
Beat the heat! Have a cool morning walk before it becomes too warm or a late night walk when it starts to cool down.
Dog booties! These can be purchased online to prevent the burning of pawpads.

Always remember the risk of heat stroke during summer for you and your pooch! Take breaks during the walk, keep yourself and your dog hydrated, try aim for shaded areas while walking, don't over exercise and stay sun safe!
