Sold by Valachi at Karaka 2020 Book 1 Sale, Italian Poet (Zacinto – Quest) won over 1450 metres on Thursday at Kilmore, Victoria. It was a promising win by the flashy type with white blaze and three white socks.
He was purchased by First Light Racing, bloodstock agent Paul Willetts, and trainer Simon Zahra. The first winner for Quest, who won five times from 2000m – 2200m.
“He’s always had ability, consistent, and terrific ride by Damien to sum it up quickly,” Zahra said.
U S Navy Flag made an encouraging start to his career as a sire with his 1st runner finishing a nice 2nd on debut. His name is Kaasib and he jumps from gate 4 in the red jacket with white sleeves.
In a field of 9 over 5 furlongs he was sent out favourite and was the unlucky runner of the race as he struck a couple of bits of interference and was held up until getting clear late and finishing off nicely to get within a neck of the winner.

Valachi Downs resident sire Savile Row made the perfect start to his stallion career, as he did in his first outing as a racehorse, when his 2YO filly Perfectly Suited took out the first on the card at Whanganui today over 1200m.
Ridden by @bridgetgrylls and trained by Valachi's Autridge/Shailer combination, the juvenile proved far too strong for her opposition dominating from the front and winning by a comfortable six lengths.
Bred and raced by Kevin and Joana Hickman, we look forward to following her progress and the career of resident sire Savile Row.
