Alex is back!! 🤩

Many of you will remember our vet, Alex. She’s originally from the UK and worked with us at Koru Vets back in 2018 and left just before the start of the pandemic to return home.

During that time, she has been working at a large small animal practice in the South West of England and has also just completed a year of maternity cover as an out of hours vet where she was carrying out sole charge emergency and critical care work for the North Devon area.

Alex has always had a passion for surgery and emergency medicine and she is currently in her second year of her small animal surgical certificate to become an advanced veterinary practitioner in this field.

On top of this, she has also been volunteering for the charity StreetVet (this involved her consulting on the streets in her own time to provide free veterinary care for pets belonging to the homeless)

Outside of work, Alex is a keen wakeboarder and also loves to mountain bike and surf. She is pretty active so you may also see her participating in a local half marathon or 10k from time to time!

She returned to the Bay of Plenty 6 weeks ago as a newly wed with her husband, Chris and their Scottish Deerhound called Pablo and has just started back with us.

Alex will mainly be working at our Mount clinic. Some of you that remember her have already come in to say hi and have a catch up, but if you haven’t, please feel free to do so!
