Decided to take Katie (Linden Keepsake) out for a ride at Abderry this evening. She has never travelled off the property before so this was a huge learning curve for her. Then we chucked Piper on for a ride too. This pony absolutely blows me away with her calm demeanor, she was ridden in a show jumping arena and never looked at a thing. Pretty impressive for only her 6th ride. She is going to be a super lead rein/fyr pony. Heading to her new home soon.

When you haven't been riding for quite some time because your horse sustained an injury you find that 1. you really must go on a diet 🤦‍♀️ and 2. your arena now looks like a hay paddock.
Never mind the hay paddock, the pony looks amazing 😃. Linden Keepsake (Fernleigh Front Page x Royalwood Cameo) having only her third ride and I cant fault her (sure the odd behind the vertical moment but what young horse hasn't done that). Such an honest pony. 🩶🩶🩶

Lots going on at the stud while the sun is shining so (sorry) lots of photo memories to post. Time to break in the only 3 year old here. Linden Keepsake (Fernleigh Front Page x Royalwood Cameo) is showing that breaking in can be stress free and an easy task. Long reining round the garden means weaving in and out of the gardens, roaming past the rabbit and even taking on the big bank that hubby has decided to create at the back of the garden (plans to put a pool in I think, lol)... nothing seems a bother to Katie. 🩶🩶🩶

Wahoo. Another positive scan today. Hopefully Michaela gets the palomino she wants from her precious Penny (Linden SummerTribute). 16 day pregnancy to Brenwood Perfect Storm. Love all the Greenlee bloodlines he carries.

Having a relaxed Christmas eve here, had the best time wandering the paddocks admiring this years foals. Extremely pleased with all my babies. ❤️❤️❤️

Today we headed to Te Kauwhata Royal Show with Graysil Polly Pocket. Something a bit different not handling a Linden pony in the ring but this beautiful girl is by Fernleigh Front Page, out of Linden Victory Parade so I jumped at the opportunity to get her out and about. She didn't disappoint and won her 2-3yr old age class plus Champion Youngstock Led Pony and the Pony Breeders Soc sash. Having never been off her property, at first she was mind blown by the show atmosphere but soon settled and I was so proud of her ring manners.
Thank you's go to Sharon for giving me the chance to show her, Anne Hjorth for the quick call up for a tail plait 😍 and Te Kauwhata Show committee, judges, stewards etc that, as always, run such an amazing show.
Someone 🤔🤦‍♀️ set the camera settings incorrectly so unfortunately the photos are a tad bright 😬 but you get the gist (she's lovely, well I think so anyway 😍).

Linden Fine Fashion (Fernleigh Front Page x Linden Fine Art) winning big at the South Island Premier Showing Championships. Taking out Champion Led Pony Youngstock, Supreme Led Pony, Supreme Led Youngstock and topping it off with Supreme Led Exhibit.
This pony looks to have an amazing future ahead of her. Congrats to all her connections. 😍

After the stress of losing Cameo this last week it was a relief to see Foxhall Heavens Serenade comfortably foal a handsome bay c**t. Another with just the right amount of bling, a blaze and two back socks. A bit of a novelty breeding which I'm quite chuffed with as he is by Linden Summer Holiday who contains all the past and present Linden stallions... Fernleigh Front Page, Kolbeach Holly's Masterpiece, Cusop Display and Riverflats Bay Wings.
Just a couple of snapshots in the rain, will get better ones on a sunnier day.

Early 2010 you stepped off the plane from Australia onto NZ turf. It's been the most amazing journey with some beautiful babies to show for it... multi title winners at all the top shows in the country. You certainly had your interesting quirks but we loved you all the same. Feed times drove me crazy watching you pace the fence... at a gallop 🤦‍♀️. We had shares in the Altreno factory as you needed it right through your pregnancies. You hated needles with an absolute vengeance and had quite the reputation with the vets because of it (bending needles as you went rock solid rigid was not uncommon) 💉. You changed over the years into the sweetest mare and I am going to miss you so much. Rest easy Cameo, we will cherish the gorgeous baby girl we have now.

A relaxing day (after a s**t of a week) long-reining Oscar (aka Linden Cover Story - Fernleigh Front Page x Linden Picture Perfect) round the garden. He's been the slowest maturing pony so at 5 years old maybe breaking him in will grow him up fast. At 14hh with a length of rein to die for and a trot that has you drooling I think he will eventually do pretty well in the ring.

Beautiful Beauden (Linden Choir of Angels) hastily chucked on the truck and off to Cambridge A&P Show in the pouring rain. Not his day, just a win in his age class (let's be honest led classes are at a low and he was the only one). Can't complain about his manners, he was definitely an angel. He goes out for a holiday now as he has still not truly recovered from minor complications with gelding 4 weeks ago, he's lost his spark so time out will do him good. Absolutely adore this pony.

Seems to be the theme this year that if I want a mare to foal I should enter a show for that day. On a misty morning Linden On Cloud Nine (Fernleigh Front Page x Foxhall Heavens Serenade) produced a gorgeous filly foal by Kolbeach Holly's Masterpiece. In true Darcy style we have a perfect amount of bling with a nice blaze and two back socks. This is our first Flynn mare crossed to Darcy and I'm very pleased. Cloud is the most amazing first time mum.
Now it's raining and do I have the inspiration to go to the show or just play with the new baby 😂
