Early 2010 you stepped off the plane from Australia onto NZ turf. It's been the most amazing journey with some beautiful babies to show for it... multi title winners at all the top shows in the country. You certainly had your interesting quirks but we loved you all the same. Feed times drove me crazy watching you pace the fence... at a gallop 🤦‍♀️. We had shares in the Altreno factory as you needed it right through your pregnancies. You hated needles with an absolute vengeance and had quite the reputation with the vets because of it (bending needles as you went rock solid rigid was not uncommon) 💉. You changed over the years into the sweetest mare and I am going to miss you so much. Rest easy Cameo, we will cherish the gorgeous baby girl we have now.

A relaxing day (after a s**t of a week) long-reining Oscar (aka Linden Cover Story - Fernleigh Front Page x Linden Picture Perfect) round the garden. He's been the slowest maturing pony so at 5 years old maybe breaking him in will grow him up fast. At 14hh with a length of rein to die for and a trot that has you drooling I think he will eventually do pretty well in the ring.

Beautiful Beauden (Linden Choir of Angels) hastily chucked on the truck and off to Cambridge A&P Show in the pouring rain. Not his day, just a win in his age class (let's be honest led classes are at a low and he was the only one). Can't complain about his manners, he was definitely an angel. He goes out for a holiday now as he has still not truly recovered from minor complications with gelding 4 weeks ago, he's lost his spark so time out will do him good. Absolutely adore this pony.

Seems to be the theme this year that if I want a mare to foal I should enter a show for that day. On a misty morning Linden On Cloud Nine (Fernleigh Front Page x Foxhall Heavens Serenade) produced a gorgeous filly foal by Kolbeach Holly's Masterpiece. In true Darcy style we have a perfect amount of bling with a nice blaze and two back socks. This is our first Flynn mare crossed to Darcy and I'm very pleased. Cloud is the most amazing first time mum.
Now it's raining and do I have the inspiration to go to the show or just play with the new baby 😂

Just before midnight last night Linden Just a Dream foaled a stunning c**t by Command Performance (Aus). This is the first time I have watched her foal as she normally sneaks them out... not this year my beautiful girl 😁. Linden Time to Shine was up and on his feet in 10 minutes (he's a strong leggy young man). A bit of drugs needed from the vets for his tight legs. I'm absolutely delighted with him. 🤎🤎🤎

Quick trip to Clevedon A&P Show with Beauden today. Aka Linden Choir of Angels (Kolbeach Holly's Masterpiece x Foxhall Heavens Serenade), he was an absolute gem and took out Led Pony Champion Youngstock. Clevedon don't run a Supreme so back home within 4 hours of leaving. ❤️

Beauden aka Linden Choir of Angels (Kolbeach Holly's Masterpiece x Foxhall Heavens Serenade) stepped out in the Led Pony classes at Waikato Show today. He was so well behaved and tried his cute little heart out. He won his yearling class and went on to get Champion Youngstock. Also winning the Pony Breeders Society sash. He's going to be something special in the future. 🧡🤎🧡

So after having a little bit of an incident with Holly last night we had to scratch from Waikato Show. I probably would have been a little tired anyway with Nina (Linden Fine Art) setting off the foaling alarm at 1.50am and producing a gorgeous filly by Fernleigh Front Page. Not a particle of bling provided but who needs all that white to wash, lol.
Bored with no showing so I brought Casper (Linden Cast a Spell) in to have a nosey. Definitely needed a photo shoot as he is growing into a very handsome young man. Casper (Fernleigh Front Page x Linden Summer Tribute) is looking for a new postcode if anyone is interested. He has the most amazing front on him and is among the best movers ever bred here. To mature 13.2 ring.

The teeny kid on the block came in for a spring clean today. Linden Keepsake (Fernleigh Front Page x Royalwood Cameo) aka Katie comes in at a huge 12hh which is way smaller than any others on the stud... even the yearlings are taller than her. She had a day of being clipped, washed, bitted and a play in the arena. What a super girl she was taking it all in her stride. She's a real cutie.

Last minute decision to maybe do some inhand showing with Linden Choir of Angels (Kolbeach Holly's Masterpiece x Foxhall Heavens Serenade). With his coat not moving at all out came the clippers (its so wet here I left his leg warmers on). He is such a beautiful boy with the added bonus of probably being a liver chestnut. He's a typical Sarah foal and just loves people's company. Like all his siblings he is sure to excel in the show ring. If he finds a new home before the season starts my loss and someone else's real gain.

Today I home measured my Linden Celebration. At 7 yrs old I have to admit defeat and come to the realisation that she is not going to grow to be my park hack 😭😭😭. So that means she is going to be looking for a fantastic new home. With three Novice starts last season for two Champions and a Reserve, followed by Runner Up Large Rising Star Pony of the Year she is set for an amazing career. Holly still has two Novice wins left on her card. I adore this mare so this is a hard decision but I have to be sensible and see her reach her full potential with a new rider.

Another year to be so proud of our Fernleigh Front Page. Winning big with all societies...
For the 2nd year in a row he won the Pony Breeders Overall Sires Rating award, brilliantly achieved by also taking out both the North and South Island ratings.
For the Welsh Society he won the Ridgevale Coruba Trophy for the Partbred Sires ratings (thank you to Surreyholme Stud for sponsoring this).
And for the Riding Pony Society he was the sire of the winning North Island Melville Black Memorial winner, Linden Seventh Heaven (owned by Kelly Garland).
