Finally the wait is over. Penny did not follow her usual pattern of two weeks early and two days waxed. This time we were bang on due date with 5 days of wax so she has been teasing us.

A quick trip to reasonably local Clevedon Show to show our yearling Linden Heaven Sent (Linden Summer Holiday x Foxhall Heavens Serenade). Realistically too immature to be competitive so just a learning curve for Jordie, these days are so good for them. He was so well behaved in the ring for his first outing, and stood by the truck like a real gentleman. The trip home was not fun when a foreign idiot pulled out of a side road literally right in front of me (I dont know how I missed him or how poor Jordie stayed on his feet, I know my brakes work well 😬). Jordie will be a stunner when he matures but for now he can chill in his paddock.
Congrats to all the winners and to the show committee for running an awesome show.

It was a thrill to see two of my most favourite ponies carry their riders to wide ribbons in their rider classes today. A quick trip to Te Aroha Show to watch Jaymee Robb ride Linden Playmaker at their first show together. Its been a long time since he strutted his stuff round the ring and it was like hes never been away. Well done to Jaymee for her Champion Rider and P&M win, so nice to watch. Looking forward to seeing more of these two at future shows. 🧡🧡🧡
Then in the South Island the very new partnership of Ava Ramshaw and Linden Summer Holiday had an amazing day at their first big show, the NZ Summer Spectacular. So pleased to see Ava get Reserve Champion First Year Ridden rider. Considering only six months ago Sammy was surgically gelded and headed to the South Island unbroken. What an achievement to be out there in FYR now, a true kids pony. Ava, you should be proud of your dedication. 🤎🤎🤎

The weather turned on its finest today for a lovely day of inhand showing at Waikato A&P Show. Leading for the Graysil Stud, Graysil Lucy Locket (Kolbeach Holly's Masterpiece x VP Love Song) was an absolute dream today, her first outing and she stood like a pro at the float and worked perfectly in the ring. Wasn't her day in the youngstock classes 🤷‍♀️ but she did come away with the win in the best paces class. This pony has the biggest future ahead of her with the looks and paces to win big. Lulu is looking for a new home.

Thinking of leasing CJ (Linden Playmaker) out for one season. Would have to be somewhere close-ish to home (Bombay) as he is getting treatment for a sarcoid which may or may not need more treatment. Happy to discuss this in detail but it has just about been given the all clear. He's far too good to be sitting in the paddock waiting when he could be competing now. PM me.

Three gorgeous ladies in for a spring clean, all getting closer to their due dates. That last month has so much anticipation... the countdown is on. Excited about this season's foals...

* Linden Summer Tribute (x Brenwood Perfect Storm), fingers crossed for a filly.
* Oakvale Merry-go-round (x Deanhills Revolution), to be retained.

How awesome to see the beautiful Wynara Signature again take out the prestigious Garryowen turnout at the Melbourne Royal today.
Owned by Simone Padion and superbly ridden by Brynie Lee.
