CJ started another round of chemo on his sarcoid which is looking great.
The only down side was that I suspected Nina had lost her foal and a scan confirmed my suspicions. 😪

Well what can I say about the Pony Breeders Sire Ratings for 2025... it doesn't get much better than this. Fernleigh Front Page once again for the third consecutive year took out the top prize overall after winning both North and South Island. And Kolbeach Holly's Masterpiece was hot on his heals finishing 2nd overall.
It makes the many hours put in well worth it. Love my boys. 🖤🤎

Huge thanks to all those who have helped make it happen by showing off their beautiful babies. It's so rewarding to see them out there.

And my little Beauden (Linden Choir of Angels) got 4th in the Youngstock in the North Island with only a couple of shows under his belt.

What a morning 🤦‍♀️... 3am start at work, then rush home for Majestic to pick up two ponies at 8am, then get the cat to the vets for the little snip snip operation by 9am, then back to work for a meeting.
Sammy and Katie headed off together en route to two separate homes in Christchurch. Michaela was very upset to say goodbye to Sammy, he was a definite favourite of hers being Penny's first foal. But he's destined for great things (as is Katie), I'm sure. 🤎🩶

Gosh the babies have put their woolly pj's on this year. Simone aka Linden Fine China (Fernleigh Front Page x Linden Fine Art) had a bath and then fluffed up with some sunshine to dry off 😂. She's a little stunner with the most divine head. And a lot darker than I thought she was going to be.

So Annie and I were supposed to be doing the PB foal show this Saturday but after an exhausting week at work that took its toll on my body I simply didn't have the energy to get there. Congrats to all those that took their gorgeous babies, looked like an awesome show.
Still a weanling packed weekend for me. Lots of graduations for the babies, excellences gained all round.

Poor Sammie headed to Matamata Vets on Thursday where he became a couple of stones lighter (actually one boulder and a pebble 😂) via laproscopic surgery. He's happy to be back home now even if he does have to be confined. Finding somewhere for him was a mission with all small areas taken up with weanlings. Glenn has spent the weekend making two covered yards for me, these are going to be so useful. Looking amazing, just the last yard to build. Early Mothers Day prezzie I reckon 🎁.

OK wise ones, help me to make a decision. This is my mid life crisis purchase... purchased her and her full wardrobe, ready to take on the show world. Then reality kicked in, work got insanely busy and if I'm honest my desire for riding is waning.
So do I sell her or put her in my broodmare paddock. 50+ years of ponies on this place and there's not much goodness left in it so I do think conditioning the big ones is a challenge for me. But I do like her and she has lovely movement. Who wants to purchase park hack babies? 🤔

Before winter sets in Linden Summer Holiday needs to be broken in, so no time like the present. He'll get a few days lunging and long reining in before he heads to Matamata to be gelded (long overdue and his life will be so much more relaxed). Such a chilled out dude for a c**t.
