Christmas caravan style! Kept it simple with some liberated greenery and some wonderful crochet flowers I purchased off someone very creative at a market last week. Looks like I won't be resetting up my kitchen this year so I would like to wish all my customers a wonderful Christmas. I hope you get to have some time off, and have a wonderful festive season with those you love including your furry friends.

Kaikoura is a beautiful spot. If only I didn't have to work! Couldn't set up my business here unfortunately as there really is only tourism work. Plus you would need a boat!

We are on our way at last to find a new place to call home and reset up a kitchen for Mac & Strac. We have reached Wellington with a caravan I brought last week ready for the ferry tomorrow. This is Ruby, my companion/love of my life, who is with me for this adventure. She is tucked up on her side of the bed absolutely exhausted after watching me battle high winds to get here. It was my first time towing anything on the open road and I managed to back this 8 metre caravan into a carpark with 35 other camper vans around watching! I'm so proud of myself and those few hours practicing backing and turning yesterday in front of other onlookers has paid off. Wish us luck! ❤🐕

Hope to see you at the Hawkes Bay Farmers Market this Sunday as it will be my last time. Due to the wet grounds we will be over at the Exhibition Hall this week. Thank you for all your support of Mac & Strac and I loved meeting all your gorgeous dogs.

Ruby and I are off on an adventure to find a new home to set up Mac and Strac in the South Island. I will be finishing up at the Hawkes Bay Farmers Market and my last day will be in Hastings on Sunday the 28th of July. I estimate it will take at least 2 months to find a piece of paradise and reset up the business. I will be putting the online business on hold from the end of July until I have a kitchen to bake in.
So to all my wonderful customers I don't want to leave you, or your pooches in the lurch, so stock up while you can. The cookies are hard baked so keep really well for months. I will let you all know when I am back up and operating.

I'm sad to say that Mac & Strac will no longer be attending the Napier Urban Farmers Market. Due to my Fathers increased care needs, I've decided to pull out of the Saturday Market. I will be continuing every Sunday at the Hawkes Bay Farmers Market in Hastings. If you can't make it to the Hastings Market then I currently do free deliveries nationwide of treats for your pooches at macandstrac.co.nz or text me on 022 615 3727. Dru, at the Knife Sharpening stall, usually has a stash of my cookies so all my regulars should be able to get their weekly taster cookie treat off him😍. Loved seeing so many happy dogs at the Hawkes Bay Farmers Market today in Hastings. This was a play date of Greyhounds and Whippets in front of my stall. The Market is now Dog Friendly for responsible owners of dogs that are good in crowds and on leads. Please don't let them p*e on stalls and signs and if you forget your poo bags I have extras plus a water bowel. There are taster treats for all dogs at Mac & Strac so please bring your pooch for a pat.

My oven died this week and my lovely son let me use his. Unfortunately I haven't been able to bake enough stock for 2 markets this weekend so I won't make it to the Napier Market tomorrow. I will be at the Hawkes Bay Farmers Market on Sunday so hope to see you there😀 If anyone has any positive experiences with their ovens for baking evenly I would love to hear what type you have. Just letting my customers know I will be away from this weekends markets. The dogs and I are taking a break. Lucky me I'm dog sitting Charlie, the George Clooney of dogs, for a month so I've got 2 dogs at the moment😍.
