It’s Art Deco Weekend in the Hawkes Bay and how appropriate that the Art Deco litter got an outing.
Ok it was to the vets for their first vaccinations and then on to have a coffee at a cafe but they didn’t care one bit. They were total champs ♥️❤️♥️. Happy Valentines my little love bugs ❤️. A massive thanks to Kailukicoons for coming to help out and being photographer.

5 weeks to go so I thought I better officially start arranging their new parents.
As a new breeder I don’t have markets and customers. Everyone that approached me in the past 18 months, I have referred on to other registered breeders. Feel free to share and spread the word.

Hide and seek Blueberry style. I love how MC mummas play with their kittens, teaching them how to throw toys, hunt things and get used to new situations and foods. I could watch them for hours. Staring : Pirate Maines Jackson Moonshine and Bootlegger Beau… growing up way too fast. They have their Mums really soft coat and extra polydactyl mitten paws 🩶🤍♥️

You may notice one of Molly’s kittens not appearing in photos. He is reserved for a very special family. He was the first born, the first I lost my heart to and the one who is going to be the hardest to let go. His official name is a secret only I know but we call him Daika (Day-ka) because that’s going to be his family name.
Daika got sick on day 4 and it’s taken him 5 weeks to almost catch up to his siblings. You know those cat videos that make you laugh? That has been Daika everyday. He has no idea how cool he is or how little. His whole aim in his day is to be happy. He’s that one in a million. Enjoy wee man’s photos cause he is something special!

Maine C***s aren’t lap cats. Yeah, right! My cats didn’t seem to get the message. Especially not Captain, he has NO boundaries. He just turned one and still has a few years of growing to go before he gets his final man body. Best therapy ♥️. Oh and if you have read this far, here’s a wee treat for you. He’s going to be a Dad.

Who wouldn't adore Pearl? I certainly didn't need more cats, but resisting her was impossible! At 10 months, she's already the biggest girl in the house, dwarfing the others. Besides, every Captain needs a lucky black Pearl. Now I need to decide her perfect match but I have two months 🖤🧡🖤

Molly’s Art Deco Litter are almost 5 weeks and are getting so playful. Spot all the grubby faces. They just love their raw food so much. Wee Daika was napping after another massive feed so no photo of Mr ScruffyWuffy. I’ll post a video of them later tonight.

18 days old 😍. These two lads are the chunkiest apprentice pirates. Blueberry has done an amazing job with the milk bar and was telling me they will be onto the hard stuff in no time. I’m not sure if they will be able to tie their boots with waists like those Blueberry.

Almost four weeks old. After an hour in their bigger area they are zooming around. So far they have walked through their wet food and licked it off their paws. 🧡🩶🖤🖤.

It’s been an emotionally exhausting few days. Three of Blueberry’s kittens passed away a few days back.
I hear all the time “I would love to breed”. It’s the biggest emotional and financial investment but my hobby is my dream.
I did a Pawpeds course mid 2024 and learnt that one of the things you need to get your head around, as a breeder, is that cats have large birth numbers for a reason, not all survive. My friend has taught me to create a wee locket in my heart to carry around those that I lost.
I promise some possitive posts are on their way. Along with a new video from Captain.
