Today Shane and I hit the bike trails again. Stopping off at Silver Bullet for the best hot chips and a drink. The guys there give a discount to Big Brothers and Big Sisters which is awesome.
The weather was perfect to enjoy the beautiful city of Napier.
Shane teaches me bits about his culture and helps me with my pronunciation!
Drop him home nice and tired.

Yesterday Ali and I met with Hastings District Council to discuss the demolition of our old home. We met Rae our very supportive connector and Danny. What a top guy Danny is, he explained the process and we were blown away really at the lengths they will go to do what we want and how they will leave the site. This will be the final chapter and it looks like it will be done respectfully and professionally.
Thanks, it means a lot.

What an awesome morning for a bike ride. When I first started spending time with my little brother Shane a couple of years ago we rode out to Bayview Holiday Park for a drink and a snack. I well overestimated what he could do and we had to get picked up halfway home. Two years on he blitzed it there and back. He was proud of his achievement today. We had lots of time to chat on the way there and back.
