Hi pet parents!
Just a quick reminder for all our clients, new and existing, about fleas.🐕
If your dog is infested with fleas, I will have to wash your dog in a flea shampoo which is $15 extra on top of the groom price, and you will be charged the price of a fleabomb $35.
This is why I ask if your furbaby is fully up to date on flea and worm treatments, as it minimises the risk of any fleas in my salon.
If you know that your dog has fleas, please warn me before I start the groom, as you need to get your dog flea treated, and a worm treatment as fleas can carry tapeworm, as the groom would need to be rescheduled to another day, and infestation under control, before I can book your dog in again for a groom.
I do understand that it is our furbabies and they sometimes do get parasites, but my first priority will always be that of your furbaby's health and welfare, and also to protect my other clients from said parasites.

We would like to thank every single one of our clients🐾🐾 and their furbaby pawrents for their continued support of our business!
I absolutely love my profession and without you all, it will not be possible✂️🐕❤️
Please have a very Merry Christmas, travel safe, enjoy your families. It has been a huge rollercoaster of a year, but I am astounded by the strength of the human spirit that our Hawke's Bay community has shown through one of the darkest times.

A kind reminder that this is our last day of operation until 2024 rolls around, we will not be responding to any inquiries during this break, as this time off is reserved for my family.❤️🐾
I will start responding again closer to 8 January 2024, but please remember to be kind and patient.
PS.... Every single one of the furbabies I have groomed have reminded me to please tell their pawrents to spoil them all like crazy during this festive season, and that they love you unconditionally 🐾🎁

My view for today!
Absolutely love my job and seeing new places every day! Don't you just love how the weather did a complete 180 from when I started the groom to finish!☁️☀️
Also, sweetheart Milo had a groom today and was an absolute model dog, such a gentleman!🐾✂️😍
He has no idea how lucky he is to live with the ocean at his doorstep!

Hi fellow furbaby pawrents and dog lovers!!
It has been a while since our last post!
We have gotten a Golden Retriever puppy in the last few weeks, that has joined our family, loving his Rottweiler big sister, and keeping us all on our toes!
Please welcome our boy, Loki, named after the God of Michief, and he so lives up to his name, but we are so in love! We have nicknamed him "Hurricane Loki", because he zooms around for ages, and then just passes out, before starting all over again after his nap!
Our hearts are happy and full, and our family is complete ❤️🐾

Hi fellow furbaby parents and dog lovers!
Here are some helpful tips (from the SPCA) on how to keep your dog safe and cool in this hot weather! 🌞

🌅🌄 The sun is at its fiercest between 10am and 4pm, so be extra vigilant with your pet between these times. Keep a close eye on pets who are older, overweight, flat-faced, or have thick fur, who might struggle in the heat.
🥏Exercise your pets early in the mornings or in the evenings to avoid the heat of the day. Avoid long and strenuous walks on hot, sunny days, and steer clear of prolonged sun exposure.
💧🏖️Take your pets to an area that has shade or a place for them to swim so they can take a break to cool off, and if they want to slow down or stop, follow their lead.
❄️🌡️You can put ice in your dog's water bowls.
Fill an ice cream container with water and add some treats or some off your dog's toys that will keep them busy and cool for a while.
Fill those big clam shells (meant to be a sandpit) with water and put it in the shade for your dog to paddle or literally just relax in their own pool (always supervised of course).
Or purchase a cooling mat, or wet a towel for your dog to lie on.
You can always keep your dog inside with a fan or a heatpump put on 😎
ALWAYS have plenty of fresh water available and make sure to top it up multiple times a day.
✋ Hot ground and black sand can burn the pads of your pet’s paws and leave them sore, blistered and red. Check if it is a safe temperature for them to walk on by holding the back of your hand on the pavement or sand for five seconds. If it is too hot for you to hold your hand there, your pet shouldn’t be out walking on it!
