LAST MINUTE VISITS TOMORROW 🎉🐾❤️
Hey team, I've had a few enquiries for visits recently, and am headed to sunny Blenheim tomorrow (Sunday 11th Sept).
I have a handful of appointments left, so get in touch via message if you would like me to pop by your place.
This will be my last trip, at least for a while, before I head up North on a Hawke's Bay adventure.

While I'm here, it's worth a mention that Springlands Veterinary Centre are now offering a mobile vet nurse service too! So if you're looking for a lovely vet nurse to visit you at home in my absence, they're an awesome option for you 🥰

I've been quiet here while sorting out the joys of my big move to Nelson, but I have been so looking forward to giving you all this exciting update!
Last year I accepted a role as a Vet Nurse for Victory Vets in Nelson, with the vision to offer Mobile Vet Nurse house calls as a new service of the clinic. After a few months of ironing out the details, we are officially taking bookings!
This means that not only am I able to carry on doing what I love, but more services will be available under Veterinarian instructions for clients of Victory, and my previous range of services will still be available to all other pet parents.
My lovely Marlborough clients will be able to be seen on set days every few weeks, depending on demand.
Some small changes apply, such as fees and bookings - if you would like to make an inquiry or book a visit you will now need to call Victory Vets (03 546 9646), where the lovely ladies in reception will be able to give you a service fee estimate, and book you in for a set day. I will then follow up with a phone call the day before your visit, to confirm a specific time.
I can't wait to get back out there to reunite with the pets I already know, and meet more of the little lovebugs over here in Nelson!

TAKING A BREAK
Some changes are happening, and I am going to be taking a break to get these matters sorted. (I feel about as tired as Bella was in the photo below!)
I'm excited to announce that I am moving to Nelson, but for the foreseeable future I will still be making occasional day trips to Blenheim to see clients. It's very important to me to maintain the service I have provided here over the last year, as I appreciate all of you, and your pets. So The Pet Nurse will still be here for you, albeit on a less flexible basis than in the past.

I have limited appointments available this Friday and next Thursday, so get in touch if you'd like a visit before the big move 😸

In the future, I plan to announce visit dates in advance, and set up text/emailing lists to touch base with those who want to stay in the loop for upcoming appointment availability.

Any further updates will be posted to this page, or you are more than welcome to enquire in person 😊

"A pig's ear! For me??" Bless 🥰
Bella LOVES visiting her Springlands Veterinary Centre family. Aunty Nurse Kimberly spoiled her with a wee treat and that face says it all 😂 Not to mention the huge fuss she got from Aunty Kirsten and Aunty Andrea in reception ❤
While Bella miiiight be a little too happy to visit vet clinics with all the exposure she's had via my job, it's a great idea to bring your dog to visit your usual clinic when passing by. Let the receptionists know you'd like your dog to get used to visiting, and they'll be happy to offer a treat or let you practice weighing them on the scales.
It'll make future medical visits a lot less scary and stressful, which is easier on you, your pet, AND your vet clinic team!

Hi everyone! I bet your pets are just loving all the lockdown attention!
Quick update on what alert levels mean for The Pet Nurse:

Level 4 - For those who preferring to stay home, but need to have your pet see a vet for medical reasons, my transport services are available. I can take your pet to their appointment on your behalf and deliver them safely home to you afterwards.

Level 3 - No-contact home visits are permitted for normal services. Safety precautions will be in place. I will wear a mask in your home and ask that appointments are only made for pets who don't require your assistance to hold (this is most of your lovely darlings anyway!). Surfaces I have used will be sanitised before I leave. Outdoor areas are preferred for pets who will tolerate it.

Stay healthy, stay happy and give those munchkins a cuddle from me in the meantime! Take care xx

Hello everyone!
Firstly, I am SO sorry I've been rather quiet here lately, and slow to reply to enquiries 🙀
I have had some big changes in my personal life, leading to some changes in my work life - but don't worry, The Pet Nurse is still here!

Some of you may know that I also do occasional contract work as a relief vet nurse in vet clinics. I have been picking up more of this work lately, as well as practicing some self-care, so my Pet Nurse clients haven't been getting the attention they deserve!
I thank you all for your patience and WILL get to your messages if I haven't already. Feel free to send another if you'd like to jump to the top of the list 😸

There will be some further structural changes coming over the next few months too, but I will ensure you are kept in the loop and will still be available to look after your pets.

I value and appreciate each and every one of you. Thanks again, I just love how warm and gorgeous you all are, and am blessed to be trusted with your pets' home care.

Weekend feel-good story ❤
Bella had a lovely time at the beach today, and we came across George!
A few months ago, George's mum had some concerns about his socialising after he had a bad experience with another dog. We had 2 sessions working on this. As he was young and also friendly by nature, he turned the corner very quickly.
Today, George introduced himself to Bella very well at their unplanned meet, and within seconds they were having loads of fun together! I suspect there may have even been some romantic interest, judging by the display put on later 😂
Sometimes just a small amount of guidance can make all the difference to your dog's social life.
I think they'll both be sleeping very well tonight 🥰
