Taranaki Equestrian Jumping is an “Area Group” affiliated to Equestrian Sport New Zealand Jumping (ESNZ Jumping). There are twenty “Area Groups” throughout New Zealand who are all charged with delivering the sport of equestrian jumping (previously referred to as ‘showjumping’) to the equestrian community. Our mission is to advance jumping and showhunter by providing a welcoming club environment, t

raining opportunities, modern jumping equipment and running at least two national shows each year. Taranaki Equestrian Jumping also contribute to the governance of the sport through actively promoting our officials to the Board and Sub Committees of ESNZ Jumping, and through remits presented at the annual conference. We actively promote ESNZ Jumping initiatives and endeavour to reflect their strategic plan through our club initiatives. Taranaki Equestrian Jumping have a brilliant history of success. We have been operating since 1985 And since that time have seen three Olympians emerge including Harvey Wilson (1988 Seoul Olympics), and Heelan Tompkins and Matthew Grayling have both been Eventing Olympians. We welcome all new members and will do our very best to assist and encourage your jumping endeavours, assist with training and keep all members
well informed of our club activities.

If you plan to compete in Pony Show Hunter Series Classes, Pony Show Hunter at HOY or the AMS Saddlery Pony Grand Prix - you must have a current Height Certificate lodged with ESNZ before 𝟭 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰.
Any HOYQ or Series Points earned will be removed if there is no current Height Certificate lodged for your pony.
Once a pony reaches 8 years of age, and provided the current annual certificate lodged with ESNZ is at the age of 8 years or older, then no further certificates will be required to be lodged.

Well done to Chloe Roylance who rode a 7 year old horse called Gypsy at the Sol De Mayo International 2* Event in Buenos Aires, Argentina as part of the Global Amateur Tour . They completed four 1.15m rounds and had 3 double clears with one 13th place! Well done Chloe & Gypsy, what a fantastic experience for your international debut!
