This safari shirt combines lightness, fluidity and breathability. Featuring flap pockets on the chest and tabs on each shoulder, it offers both style and functionality.

Wool Mulch 🐑

Our wool mulch is the dags and waste wool from when we shear our sheep. Wool dags provide many benefits for the garden! Long lasting w**d control, moisture control, helps keep soil warm and even acts as a slug repellant thanks to the microscopic barbs on the fibre.

It is also a source of slow release nitrogen, and the dags provide phosphorus and potassium which are essential for plant growth. Soil health is improved, as it will encourage earthworms and soil microbial activity 🪱

Who else uses and loves the liner system from WeatherBeeta - New Zealand? 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️

We find the cotton liners PERFECT for this time of year when it can be muggy but wet (current situation for most of the North Island!) as it’s a breathable layer against the coat.

A game changer! Horses tend to sweat less, as the cotton wicks away moisture if the sun suddenly comes out.

The doonas are equally handy, as they add an extra layer of warmth without having to buy a whole new waterproof turnout rug!

Highfields Equestrian is looking for a motivated, full time staff member to join our busy team. The Retail Store Supervisor role is based from our Waiwhakaiho retail shop premises and would suit an energetic and self motivated individual who is as eager as us to take our business to the next level.

Highfields Equestrian - along side our sister brand Highfields Farm - is a locally owned and operated small family business, dedicated to servicing Taranaki and the wider North Island with everything equine. Highfields Equestrian specialises in hay, feed and general saddlery items, and is proud to be the New Zealand stockist of luxury equestrian wear brand, Dada Sport. Our primary focus is on the highest quality products and exceptional customer service.

This exciting role would require the successful candidate to run our store on a day to day basis, including but not limited to: assisting with ordering, shop presentation, organising and implementing promotions and events, some marketing and social media content and working with our current manager to help drive our business forward.

A sound equine knowledge is required, however product training will be provided. Due to the nature of this job you must be physically fit and be capable of lifting heavy feed and hay daily: stocking shelves and loading products into customer’s vehicles as well sell a significant amount of hay, feed and baleage through our store.

There is also an opportunity for the right person to progress within the business and even work towards a potential shareholding in time.

✨🏇 Equestrian Fashion Evolution 🏇✨

Fashion and functionality often intersect in the ever-evolving world of equestrian sports. Last year's change in dressage regulations sparked conversation and controversy within the equestrian community.

Now, the Jumping NZ remit passed at the recent AGM allows formal dress to include white, beige, and dark-coloured jodhpurs and breeches, marking a significant shift from the traditional light-coloured attire. Initiated by Waitemata Show Jumping and supported by Bay of Plenty, this change addresses several practical and aesthetic concerns.

The remit saw a 58% 'Yes' vote from riders and a committee vote of 22 for the change, with six against it. This is a promising step toward modernising equestrian sport and highlights the importance of athlete well-being. 🌟🐎
