Snips is owned and operated by myself, Shontelle Wolters. I am a Professional Dog Groomer with 8 years experience in All Breeds Dog Grooming and a Member of The NZ Groomers Association. I am currently the only Master Dog Groomer in Taranaki. I have a Certificate in Dog Grooming acquired from Angels Dog Grooming Academy. I have completed and passed four of four Master Grooming Exams, gaining me my

Master Groomer Certificate. I also have a Certificate in Training in Pet CPR and First Aid. I love dogs, I run a stress free environment for both the dogs and myself. I have one on one appointments for a personal experience. I do what is best for your dog, always.

Hi team ! A bit of a personal post from me today. If you've been with Snips for a long time you'll likely know I've always had back issues. Having tried every therapy known to woman, and with my pain getting gradually worse in the past few years - I'm currently in the process of annoying the health system into continued investigation.

Meanwhile, I'm having to manage my chronic pain with medication, back braces and sheer willpower 😅. Sometimes that willpower succumbs to the pain and I have to reschedule grooms.

I'm looking at my schedule and I'll likely be moving a few grooms around to make some of my planned longer days shorter. I will be in contact with those I need to shift.

I'm re learning my capacity limit and for those with chronic pain or illnesses - you'll know that I'm allocating spoons between working and being a mum(and the billion things that entails). So the driveway may never be free of weeds 🙈 and the garage may not be absolutely spotless and I may be grooming from my saddle chair a bit more often. And that's okay !

Once I've gotten through the nightmare that is the health system, I will update. I'm not sure what grooming looks like for me in the future, depending on this pain, but for now I'll still be here just doing the best I can ❤️.

Just sharing as I'm sure there will be times in the near future I'll be jimmying appointments around and just wanted you guys to know why ❤️. This is also why I'm not going to be taking on any new clients for the foreseeable future.

I'm so grateful for the support of my clients - without you this business wouldn't exist. Thank you ❤️
